TWill does not need to replace anyone on the roster. What the Rockets need badly now is a big, solid and defense oriented center.

As some have said its best for the team to bring him in slowly, hard work at practice translates to minutes to proof that you can contribute. Adelman is that type of Coach, he's not going to let anyone just walk in an take a starters spot (unless we get a star level player). Just look at Hill for reference, he slowly was brought in. Season starts, BMills is getting more PT than hill, and slowly Hill has captured more playing time, with hardwork.

It will take an injury(god forbid), trade, or a player slumping, for 1WiLL to get a good amount of minutes.

My opinion, trade(s) go down, if Williams wasn't shipped out he will come in and have big minutes for us. The guy is a BIGGER Kyle Lowry, he penetrates the D, can dunk it on someones grill (unlike Lowry), hit the open man at the 3point line or the cut. Like Lowry his jumper is questioned, and like Lowry he has that "Ima make em STFU with my game" type of attitude.

Im excited about 1Will, he can be that diamond in the rough Morey hopes for.

Interesting. I thought it would be Budinger by a WIDE margin, but he's coming in third after Battier and Brooks.

WTF why would T-Will replace anyone else besides Budinger... other than if Brooks decides to let his ankle heal a bit more and T-Will goes to PG I don't see anyone else he would be replacing besides Budinger...

Understand above reasoning, however, how much more of the Teflon (Shane) Don do we need to see. Williams is simply a better option. We would then have Martin and Williams who can get to and finish at the rim strong and then back them up with Bud and Lee.

Please package the Don, Jeffries, and Picks for a lowest post presence. I don't know who that person is, so I leave it up to our so called genius GM.

BTW, is AB done or what??? His confidence is shot and teams are taking the ball right at him and either getting a foul or bucket and some cases both.

Of course. I agree with this. I'm not pretending to say that he should play 30 minutes the next game, but if coach thinks he can help the team right now, at least he deserves the chance right now. Off the bench. I don't know, start expanding the rotation in the 1st half, let him play 5-6 minutes, and cut the rotation for the 2nd half with the most proper guys for the game situation. Terrence can play 3 positions, I'm sure the coach could draw a plan like this, for example starting the rotations earlier and not at the end of the quarter.

Bud has been hot, the mob has put away their pitchforks and torches and gone after the next target.

I think after seeing Twill play people see him more as a guard, and right now Brooks isn't playing to what everyone expects so he wins by default.

If T-Will can't hit open jumpers then he really can't play swing in Rick's offense. After seeing his first appearance I think the team thinks of him more as a PG.

    Really? A PG?

It seemed they only played him there at the end, but he looked good in very limited action....I would be interested to see if he was interested in running the point....because his court vision is 2nd best on the team behind Ish Smith, IMO.

He can hit them, consistency is the issue, I see RA playing him as a slashing Point Foward. His shot will get better with practice, once 1WiLL finds his shot he will be an offensive machine.

The portland game he reminded me of Mac, drag the D in and make the smart pass or take it in and draw the foul.

Harsh to talk about it, but his major chance would come if Battier tweaks an ankle thus creating a need for a defensive 3. Chase would continue to get burned on defense so Williams could easily outplay him on D alone, especially when stars like to go off 7-7, 5-5; and scrubs score more than minutes played on him.

None of those guys, unfortunately for him, we don't have room for Williams to get minutes right now.

He should probably be included in a trade package for a center.

There is a conflict between DM and the members of this forum. Maybe between DM and what's good for the Rockets.

Specifically, DM just doesn't want to get the short end in a trade. That wouldn't be a bad thing, but maybe he takes it to extremes.

Unless we were played, he could have gotten a 2nd-rounder for JT earlier in the season, but DM didn't get what he wanted, and we ended up getting nothing for him.

We all loved the T-Mac deal last year, but we came within a whisker of only getting the Sacramento part of the trade. NY knew that Morey wasn't bluffing. It worked in our favor that time, but there will be times when it does not.

Now, we have lots of assets, and we also stand to lose several games in the playoff chase if we don't get a good center. Unless we are secretly jockeying for draft position, logic dictates that we overpay, if necessary, to get a decent 5 sooner, rather than later. I'm not sure that making a quick trade is a priority for our GM.

I know he's cooking up one hell of a master plan. I also know that giving up assets means we don't have them to trade any more. But our resident trading genius needs to be reminded that the Perfect is the Enemy of the Good.

You forgot to add a choice for "No One". He hasn't proven anything yet and just because he can dunk doesn't mean he should get significant minutes.

Why not just sit battier?? We are getting torched on D regardless and its time to move on. As much as I love Chuck and Shane (who I believe are our rocks and last ties to the Vandgundy Era), and with Yao, they are becoming liabilities. Everyone plays off Shane and he is defense is not making it worth the tradeoff.
