I am a bit torn... I love threads with drama...and this one is right up there. (The past few weeks have been quite entertaining in that respect.) On the other hand, I have to agree with Fatty, and despite all crazy threads by Fatty, it shows he might just be more sensitive than many others here. It is obvious that Manny cares a lot about this site. It is also obvious that it is easy to rile up Manny. Not many people have shared as much personal information with the people on the site as Manny has. Clearly, that and his attempts to over-compensate by trying to act like a tough guy makes him an easy target for ridicule. At the same time, I don't think it is okay to pull up this real life stuff and use it against him in an argument like this one. As much as I like to pile on and make fun of people, I don't want anyone to be seriously hurt by it...and in this case, I think that someone is really hurting. It's easy to beat up on someone when he is down, but perhaps people might want to consider the effect of it. Some might be saying "but you did the same with MacBeth" - big difference is that MacBeth was constantly aggrandizing himself whereas all Manny did was pour his heart out to us. I usually like moestavern's posts, he is a funny guy, but I thought that some of the things said to Manny were intentionally hurtful and that that was not necessary, even though it was provoked. I don't think we'll see Manny posting again for a while (unless Clutch (or heypartner ) e-mails him a new password) and perhaps that's even better for him. I hope/think he will come back, possibly under a different user name, and will just focus on enjoying the site and that he will not be taking things as seriously as he has been.
That's what I'm in favor of. Tie this **** up and take it to the supreme court. I put in a vote for Manny, and there's plenty of people left to vote.

I have thought long and hard about this difficult situation and I believe I have arrived at a compromise that will make everyone happy. Manny continues to post but agrees to chill out a little. We all know he could stand to chill. Moes continues to post, but agrees to stop using vowels. (Consonants only, Moes. You can do it. It's only fair.) But because the BBS demands a sacrifice and because Sir Jackie's such a swell guy he agrees to sacrifice himself, increasing the general happiness of the BBS population ten fold. Get 'er done.
To be fair, on the other end Moes has been lying alot himself. Primarily about his age, at first. But once finals joined, he's not been the same moe's. That is truly what we lost on this board. Moes was one of the best "stick-it-in-your-ass-and-enjoy-it." posters I had seen. And now he is a b****. Maybe this is why there is an argument between them? Hmmmm. Kind of lame? I've met Manny and he's a helluva nice guy. Never met moes but I love his insane sense of humor. Won't vote because this feuding and polling is just silly. Work it out.
