he hasnt left yet. hes going to do one more year from what I hear.

Maybe because he knows the show is dying.

Don't really like his brand of humor. I really don't like the British office.

They need to end the office.

IMO, it was the funniest television show of all time.

    Of all time.

I dont think someone is gonna take over Michael Scott....but "The office" is gonna have a new boss with his own unique humor....or he could be a dick.

Next season, should be it's last...

    or

His spot should be left vacant and focus more on the other characters, while they could bring a few more odd personalities as office workers.

1st thought would have been the Boss from News Radio.

But . . .I don't think the guy who was Mike's old boss would be that bad.
[the guy in glasses - just flake him out a bit more. . .make him like PHIL from MODERN FAMILY]

I don't know why, but I think David "Rick Roll" Caruso would be good for that spot. He can even do the same character from CSI and it would fit right in with the show.

...not that I would know, I've never watched a single episode. Just a $0.02

Was about to ask what NBC would do without the show; but apparently it's never finished in the top 50, even though it's top 20 in 18-49 demo? I really don't understand television anymore.

Why not just promote Jim/Dwight to take Michael's place and bring in some fresh characters in sales? I haven't watched The Office in about 2-3 seasons, but it seems like this would be the most plausible in terms of story...

Perry could work. Ferrell is too big a presence and could be criticized very quickly, Arnett might be a little too small for non-AD fans, at least as a Carrell replacement. Perry's befuddled schtick could mesh well, in fact he could have been a great Oscar or Toby replacement earlier on. And having Perry could create a nice, flimsy pretense upon which to sneak in some half decent Aniston/Cox/other Friends guest spots.

The problem with this is that he actually can't act, not one bit. I watched Whatever Works and nearly slit my wrists.

Ferrell's too strong of an actor, and Perry's too weak of an actor (at least from my watching Friends, never watched studio 60). Gervais could work, but the staff has developed too much of their own thing to make it anything like UK Office, and we'll end up with something not as good as either. Ricky wrote and produced a majority of those episodes, who knows if Toby, Ryan and Kelly can write well for him, or if he works well with their material.

And Will Arnett? Yeah like the guy in a four thousand dollar suit is gonna take over the job of a guy in a woman's clearance bin suit. Come on!

The show is going to totally bomb without Carell in it so might as well just pick someone that will cause the biggest trainwreck.
