I'd like to see Johnson sent to D-league and play exclusively as a point guard there. Come All-star break he can be brought up to play the backup point guard role. I don't trust either of Ish or Canaan come playoff time, but I think if Johnson can get a ton of time in the D-league to start the season and then using the second half of the season to get him acclimated to the Rockets system. Ish will probably be the backup day 1 sadly.
its terry or canaan. ish may not make the cut. i don't see any room for him on the roster: dwight-black/dorsey-capela tj-adrien-dmo ariza-papa-garcia harden-daniels-johnson bevelery-terry-canaan the only roster spot up for grabs, imo, is the backup center spot between black and dorsey.
I bet a lot of people wish they had their votes back for this poll for Ish. Had one nice stretch during one game and not looking good since. Very very fast but can't shoot or defend.
Never was an Ish fan, but right now he's the clear choice. If he doesn't make it, it's because we're not prioritizing winning above "flexibility", etc. What the hell am I thinking, Ish has no chance.
Agree, but that's ok if you pair him with Harden, or even Pap. He can shoot and defend. Looks to me like our actual playing time G rotation is Bev, Harden, Daniels, Terry.
Let's see what Terry has left in the tank. I won't let myself just write him off already. Not impressed with Ish so far.
Someone who can come in and provide good D and Ok O, or good O and Ok D and who can run the show for the 2nd unit, knock down some shots
Terry looked alright, had some nice passes, a steal and two good baskets so he SHOULD get some minutes at PG and SG. Ish just runs around like he doesn't know what he's doing and Canaan just not showing much I guess.
It will be Ish. Terry doesn't do PG and Canaan works better as an SG. He's a shooter and a scorer, not a playmaker. His size can be a problem for SG, though.
