Brees played well his first season and San Diego was very satisfied with basically trading Vick for him and Tomilison. The problem is San Diego gave up on him too soon and I really don't understand why. He's still a young QB. Brees is the type of QB who will succeed if he has a good team around him. Contract year or not he will always be a good decision maker.

You know, that statement would make a little more sense if you insert Texans for Rockets.

i think henson will probably start but i doubt he'll be good. brees will stay in SD for another year and probably hit free agency after he plays like sh#t next year. theres no way parcels will draft a QB because he passed up byron leftwich a few years back. the only option at QB i see is jon kitna or maybe bledsoe.

the problem is parcells. he doesn't want to stick around to build a long-term team. he wants to win NOW. sometimes, that's not always the best strategy, if it keeps you from developing young talent.

if you think henson is the guy, he should have been playing THIS year. my guess is vinny will get re-signed...and he'll play...unless parcells is elsewhere.

I have no idea what Parcells will do. I think he will send Henson and Romo to Europe and whoever does better will start. Vinny has already shown that he can't start a whole season or lead a team to a Super Bowl. He is a backup at best.
