I saw Radiohead last night and they were Godlike. I was rather stunned that Houston was the tour opener, but it didn't keep me from the show. The music from Kid A and Amnesiac sounded excellant live. They are the best band in the world right now. -Elvis ------------------
I'm sorry I missed it...not really. The Nazi Pavillion sucks! also weren't ticket prices pretty high? How much were lawn seats? rH ------------------ visit: groovehouse.org
Lmao...Nazi pavilion...yeah, 35 bucks all seats. First come first serve. Security guards were as$holes but it mattered not, the sonic therapy known as radiohead cancelled all that bs out. ------------------ Kapaya!
man it was so great. they are amazing live. they played most of my favorite songs, i do wish they had played 'creep' though. but nothing is perfect. but this was the highlight of my summer "Kill All Artists" ------------------ Paranoid, trying to stuff the void.
I was at the big concert last night, it was the greatest concert i've ever been to, and i've been to some great ones in my lifetime. They played a flawless set. What did yall think about it? ------------------ Kapaya!
still trying to buy tickets to the NY show on august 16th, but I gotta tell you, I am going through a serious Radiohead phase. Right now I am listening to The Bends, and Amnesiac is hypnotic. these guys have evolved into artists beyond their time. ------------------ fitter, happier more productive comfortable not drinking too much eating well (no more microwave dinners and saturated fats) sleeping well (no bad dreams) no paranoia fitter, healthier and more productive a pig in a cage on antibiotics
hey across... do you have KID A? thats hypnotic too. I dig the two latest RH CD's alot! very dreamy very stoney rH ------------------ visit: groovehouse.org
absolutely rH. cerebral if you will.it seems that i was in my Kid A phase when it was released, now I am in Amnesiac mode. they were recorded at the same time, but Thom Yorke decided against a double album, instead released this album 8 months later(along with this latest tour) these two albums are way out there, but I am addicted to the sound. I enjoy the dissonance in Amnesiac,in the songs "You and Whose Army", "Pyramid Song," " Like Spinning Plates" .... and that last track sounds like it belongs in a New Orleans Speakeasy in the 1930's. ARRRRRRGH. I cannot get these tickets online. ticketmaster.com says i can buy tickets for the aug. 16 show at liberty state park, but when i request two tix, they screw me over. ------------------ fitter, happier more productive comfortable not drinking too much eating well (no more microwave dinners and saturated fats) sleeping well (no bad dreams) no paranoia fitter, healthier and more productive a pig in a cage on antibiotics
hey where were you guys a couple of weeks ago?! http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum7/HTML/004069.html ------------------ fitter, happier more productive comfortable not drinking too much eating well (no more microwave dinners and saturated fats) sleeping well (no bad dreams) no paranoia fitter, healthier and more productive a pig in a cage on antibiotics
Holden, Don't feel like you missed anything because they refuse to play that song live. They haven't in a very long time. It pretty much rubbed them the wrong way when 'Creep' became an anthem to "Gen Xers" (along with Beck's 'Loser'). Being that 'Creep' was their only pop hit, it's their way of snubbing their noses at the pop scene and those who only want to hear that song. ------------------
You guys need to check out www.chron.com. They gave the show an excellent review. ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker
Can I just tell you how bitter I am that I didnt get to see the show??? Why didnt they play more Texas dates??? sucks... Screw it......I am flying to VA in August to see them play, and I dont care how much it costs. ------------------ "We make more, but we spend more." Patrick Ewing
