Who Said Yao Can't Jump? [PICS]

    Yao is a slow jumper, he need to squating down before he can jump. Just imagine how many block shots Yao can have if he can jump as fast as AK47.

    I think Yao is an average jumper which in addition to his height gives him an incredible reach. I agree with most people he doesnt have the quickness to explode off the ground but for his size and weight is expected (Shaq is an exception).

    Once Yao gets better a feel for timing his rebounding and blocks will improve.. (he also needs to stop falling for fakes)

    when he got a bad call against him, he was jumping up and down big time.

    Looks like he's about 18 inches (max) off the ground...not the verticle that Shaq has and not quick like Hakeem as others have mentioned...but still more than I thought!
