I quit Game 1 third quarter. Haven't watched another game since. Will always be a fan but the complete collapse just too painful to watch.
Yeah, I had it in DVR after halftime. The intention was to watch after coming home. However, when I saw we were down by over 20 pts and basically failing to show up in the 3rd quarter, I too, didn't show up to watch. Not saying it's an effort issue, but more so that the Clippers are just a much better team. I refuse to watch them smash us.
I turned my TV off after the 3rd Qtr. ended. and I should've turned it off before that. I've got 3 final exams this week and if I wanted to watch grown men take it up the ass for 3 hours I would've watched Brokeback Mountain. (No Homo)
I tuned out halfway through the 3rd quarter in Game 3. I tuned out even sooner in Game 4 when they got down double digits right away in the 2nd half. I knew they were about to get blown out again. I'm seriously debating whether I should even bother with Game 5. Especially since I have a free pass to Mad Max: Fury Road. I have no idea if that'll be any good, but it's probably a safer bet than watching the Rockets right now.* *Plus with the 8:30 tipoff, I can always catch the 2nd half if it's a competitive game.
They quit on us. We didn't quit! They quit! Pack your stuff...you're off the team! What? Next time...go for the ball, son. If you would have been doing your job...they never would have been down there in the first place! For those of you still on the floor at the end, I'm proud of you. You played your guts out.
I'm not sure I'd call what we're running a pick and roll, a pick and roll implies a pick, ie screen, and i've seen maybe one actual real screen in this series, and i might have even imagined that.
It is a process. As bad as Harden has been in this series, he is still a top player in the league. Guys like CP3 have gone through multiple phases to get where they are now. Harden probably will need that too. I think our future is better than most other teams. No I am not quitting. It is just beginning.
you are a real fan man, i stopped watching at half time in Game 2, because i know the series are over when we are getting thumped by their bench guys. Years of watching NBA tells me this is a sign of a superior team clubbing a baby seal, we are just not good enough, DH needs a running mate like CP3, but we don't have that, harden needs a JJ Redick to run to open space and catch and shoot, we don't have that, results? turnovers after turnovers, if you can't focus in a playoff game when you fought so hard to get home court all year, there is some serious problems for you
it was tough to watch. Total lack of effort when things start to go south. The defense has been horrible. We miss DMo more than it seemed at the end of the regual r season
I quit on them somewhere in the 3rd and saw back to back episode of "Naked and Afraid" on DISC. That show got hearts and shows you not to quit when the going gets tough.
Yall stop saying we're not playing hard. The Clippers are a bigger more physical team than us. As I stated before the playoffs, we needed to pick up another center (Javale McGee) just to counter other big front lines in the playoffs. We are undersized and frankly being outcoached by Doc Rivers. From game 2 to game 3 the Rockets didn't make any major adjustments. McHale has no options in defending the Clippers. So it's not that we're not trying, its that we have not made any key adjustments. We're basically running into the same brick wall without knowing anywhere else to go
I couldn't watch because of Mother's Day, so I didn't get a chance to quit midgame. Today, I wouldn't say I'm quitting, but it's quite obvious we won't be winning this series. Morey said about a year ago that we needed a third star -- not Chandler Parsons -- to really contend. I think the Clippers have shown that he was right all along. They have Paul, Griffin, and the indomitable Austin Rivers. We need another big piece.
