Yeah the difference is that it wasn't us fans normalising it, it was his critics. You can see it over and over in this very thread "nobody owes him any kind of apology, it's all just fair criticism" when in fact if you go back and look there are literally thousands of personal attacks that have nothing to do with basketball other than he might've had a bad game and people used it as an excuse to attack any number of non-basketball related things. Until the forum started to turn the corner, none of y'all were ready to have that discussion because it was cooler to **** on him. That's a fact I'm afraid.
I don't expect him or any player to be amazing every single game. But if he's to be our number one option, he's going to have to be good for the majority of games and he's definitely going to have to keep his shooting and true shooting percentages up.
No not blind faith, common sense. He's 22 & was having his first child while playing for a new coach in a new system. Ppl need to learn how to read talent & not project on a guy because they don't like him. I always knew his struggles were mental & when he finally settled down he'd be a superstar. At no point was Jalen NOT the best player on this team
