Isn't that the premise of this post? Because if it's not, why is this thread not made in the offseason but after 4 games to start the year? I am not sure why you're bringing in last year and lord forbid preseason when none of this Jalen optimism existed until the first four games of this regular season. Mind you, I am also optimistic, but at least I recognize it's still a 4 game sample size and not a trend.

Nobody owes Jalen an apology unless they were making personal attacks rather than just criticizing his game. He played like dogsh*t for the majority of last season, with only a handful of good games sprinkled in, plus one really good stretch toward the end. Those are just the facts on the ground and saying that is not offensive or cruel. However, I will happily eat crow on all the times I said I didn't have much faith in his future prospects if he can keep up this level of performance, or anything close to it, all season long. Love the way he's played so far. But just four games, a lot of season left.
