So does this mean if any player has a stretch of 4 bad games, we can start threads asking people who like the player to apologize for having too much faith?
" I think the probability of Jalen becoming anything like what Ant is as far as overall impact is extremely slim. He does not have the personality to do that." "I'll drive Green to the nail place and then the airport." "Overall built like a fashion model or skinny baseball player than a real bball dude." "Jalen is a good kid, l like him and I am sure that he will have his place in NBA. But there is zero possibility that he can become half of Sengun" "Lowest basketball iq player in the world." "This type of Jalen Green numero uno threads are becoming more than silly, becomes stoopid"
Which is honestly scary because Green is the epitome of a rhythm player in that he levels up throughout the season and gains confidence as the season progresses. Almost every season I notice as the season progresses he becomes more brave and confident in doing more creative handles and experimenting more. Green usually plays it more safe early in the season. Green will start splitting doubles, doing fancy dribbling by November now instead of March.
If you can’t understand the difference between a player continuing their upward trajectory from last season and preseason v. a random 4 game dry spell, then I can’t help you.
Your attempts at gaslighting are embarrassing. Not everyone is as stupid as you seem to be. You have been on this board insulting Jalen for YEARS. Since before we drafted him you determined he was a bust and you’ve painted yourself into a corner with your misplaced arrogance and bordering-on-pathological hate for Jalen. Just a month or so ago you were on the KPJ-as-a-Clipper thread claiming that he was better than Jalen. You are a clown who is laughed at by everyone on this board, but you lack the self awareness and intelligence to see it. I honestly wonder what kind of sad life you must have that causes you to get your kicks from hating a kid who plays for the team you ostensibly root for.
So then just say the truth, that the quoted statement was not wrong.... you don't have to throw a b**** fit all the time, you really can just be an honest person every now and again, it won't hurt you. Also, and I know this either goes over your head or you are too dishonest to acknowledge it, statements about a player in the past are about the player in the past. Saying a player who is one of the worst shooters in the league is one of the worst shooters in the league doesn't become inaccurate because they eventually improve. If I say "I need to take a ****" a week ago, it doesn't become wrong today simply because I don't currently need to take a ****.
"Actually he’s numero quatro. Amen is numero uno" "He has at best mediocre instincts as a scorer. " "Jalen Green will never be the top dog, he just doesn’t have the personality and the masculinity for that job" "I could see him in no man's land because a good 6th man would need commitment and the knowledge how to play the role." "I'm not a Jalen Green hater, but I think Jalen can never be number 1, not in Houston, not in any team, because he plays street basketball"
I noticed that at no point in your b**** fit did you even attempt to point out how the quoted statement was wrong.... You have to know that I laugh at weird little b**** fits like that.... so i can only assume your intent was for me to laugh at you and since you didn't even attempt to point out how the quoted statement was wrong, I take that as a tacit agreement that it wasn't wrong, you're just in the mood to throw a fit. Fair enough.
Bear in mind, none of these quotes I'm posting (actual quotes though) are from Bobby or DD as I have them both on ignore. These are the supposed "rational" "experts" of y'all. I'm sure you know who you are... "Jabari and Green as total do not match Alperens skill level" "Amen is equal to or better than Jalen beating his man without a screen." "Numero uno getting traded" "Took him long enough but I think trades should be priority." "Cam is the best choice " "The Jalen Green experiment is over"
He/s been great so far, but his issue isn't whether or not he can look great for a few games in a row and it never has been. It's whether he can sustain it. I really really really hope he keeps it up, but he's fooled me into believing into him too many times only to revert back to the same old sloppy Jalen. I've got to see it for a full season. And then I'll be thrilled to apologize, eat crow, whatever.
Apology? For what? Some of you are too into your own feelings. Jalen has had a great start to this season, the rest of the team needs to catch up. As a Rockets fan I hope he keeps it up, doesn't mean you can't criticize last year when he was below average. FFS - who cares if people wanted more from him earlier he was the number 2 pick - in the end, if it is good for the Rockets good for us fans. Jalen - keep it up! DD
"I can not imagine giving him another contract. Seriously." "Hopefully this game will entice some dumb GM to go for the fools gold aka Jalen Green." "Be prepared for a JG stinker tonight. This is what he does..." "Get him off my team" "I believe Jalen is being showcased for a trade" " Big, big pile of steaming numero dos" I'm genuinely only 20 pages into ONE THREAD so far. See how full of **** y'all are? It's actually wild when you look back.
It's simple. If your criticism went above and beyond -- such as criticizing Green as a person or making grand "bust" declarations -- then you owe him an apology. If the criticism was centered on his prior performances, then that's fine. It's not a difficult distinction.
Yeah, I'm not posting the valid criticisms, I'm posting the wild slander and absolute nonsensical bullshit. Only a few thousand more posts to go.
I'm still waiting on @rocketchamp to apologize for all the **** talking he did to the anti brooks crowd because brooks had a few hot shooting games last season before immediately reverting to the trash he has always been and continues to be. WHERE IS MY APOLOGY!!!!!
