Interesting how the post can't possibly apply to you as you never post anything, and yet here you, and many others who never post are suddenly VERY interested. I say "interesting" I mean "suspicious."
How long can he shoot this bad and keep his spot in the starting lineup when Amen and Tari offer so much more?
Been calling it...he's a Jordan Clarkson type of player, super streaky...gotta hold on to him as part of a trade package. We'll bundle him Cam Whitmore now. Most likely, we'll be trading for Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline if we're top 5 in the West by All-star break
this is ignorant. Green has won several games for the Rockets this year let’s keep this in mind. Also if you understood what you watched you would know Udoka has implemented the same lack of ball movement offense he relied on last year after the first 6 games. He once again has taken Green out the equation putting him in the corner away from the action. The offense usually starts with a FVV or Amen action with Sengun. It’s baffling and we are seeing another regression and hesitation from JG we saw in the first half of last year. Quite tragic
Man, another season of way more cold games than hot games. I like that he has improved other aspects of his game, but our shooting guard can't actually shoot. That's a problem. Still hoping he develops but man, very few players are actually late bloomers.
He's just so inconsistent. If he would recognize when his shot is off and tap the brakes when he clearly isn't going to hit anything it would help. 1 for 9 from three is obviously unacceptable. He had a shitty game tonight.
I owe Jalen Green an apology because no matter how big a fan I am, I feel like he needs to lose his starting spot right now. Ime Udoka doesn't care who the SG is, that guy is going to have to take 9-10 3PA in this offense. That should not be Jalen Green, no matter who's fault that is. So please, just start a catch and shoot player there and call it a day. One of Amen or Tari deserve to start.
Well if the SG is going to be asked to put up 9-10 3s, it better not be Amen. Tari is decent, but not good (35%) … we’ll be in trouble in the half court with either one. This team desperately needs Reed to get aggressive and earn more minutes over FVV and Jalen
Any other SG would be happy they have 5 wide open threes per game. Does not having the ball ruin shooting? It shouldn't. Looking around the league, even the guys who need the ball in their hands shoot 40% + from catch & shoot threes. The only Rocket to show up in the first 5 pages of catch &shoot stats is Holiday. It's a team wide pandemic
Frankly man, we don’t have the guy Ime is dreaming of, and it’s certainly not Green. Anyone you put there is not going to be ideal. You can’t put Reed there because they’re going to target the sh*t out of a skinny rookie. Amen can’t shoot. Tari doesn’t have handles. Cam can’t shoot or pass or defend right now. These are all excellent young players who do other things amazingly well. Every coach and GM wants the guy who can take 10 3pters efficiently and play good defense. Then they should be a certain age to fit our timeline. Then they have to have a really high IQ because Ime will just let them take dumb shots as long as they try hard on defense. We’re not getting this dream SG. There’s like 3 of them in the last 20 years. I’d love to see someone other than Green try.
So in terms of knowing how to count... This season Mobley and Jalen now have the same number of 40+ games. Jalen has 1 game in the 30-39 range and both guys have 8 games scoring 20-29. Jalen also has 4 games in single digits and Mobley only has 2, one of which was in a game he played 18 minutes in a blowout win on the second night of a back to back. After this season Mobley (assuming he doesn't get hurt) will have made 2 all defense teams to Jalen's zero. Also, I can count Mobley is ahead of Jalen now in per game rebounds, assists, blocks, 3pt%, efg, TS%, and pretty much every advanced stat while being tied in steals and 1.1 points back in PPG.
