I am a longtime Dis-Astros fan. Or is it the Lastros?

 

I'm an Astros fan, but it's slowly diminishing as long as Drayton "The Grinch" McLane is still owner.

 

Hey...at least he didn't name the ballpark "Piggly Wiggly Field".

 

I dig the Astros, and can't wait until the season starts. It's going to be a lot of fun.

 

the Astros have been my favorite professional sports franchise since i was about 8 years old!!!

the texans may end up winning that over, since i'm now a season ticket holder with them...

but I LOVE the Astros!!! like you, i can't wait for the season to start

How soon we forget the many years the team didn't even do anything in the regular season before Drayton became the owner.

I'm a bigger Rockets fan, but given there are only 11 more home games to attend, I can't wait to make a trip out to Bankru....er, Enr....er, Astros Field.

I promised Odin that I would name my firstborn after the team. Now my beautiful Daughter is called Astro Dierkerball McClain. I will be more selective on my next child's middle name.

dont forget though how we were supposed to need a new stadium so we could compete with the other teams etc.. then as soon as we got it. .. didn't want to pay hampton, etc.

 

But we are competing with other teams...I'd stack McClane's profits up there against any owner outside of New York.

i know we are competing. but i don't want to compete i want to win. .. i would have offered alou some money. instead of watching him go to the cubs. seems like we are one of the few teams who did not get better at all this year.

i think i heard somewhere that with the new stadium the astros make llike in the top 8 as far as money... but their payroll is not close to the other teams that make around that much money.

it's good that we are competing.. but we did not in the dome.... witht he new stadium our payroll should have increased a lot

 

I was agreeing. In an attempt at humor, I was saying that McClane is pocketing all that extra revenue the new stadium was supposed to bring, instead of retaining our free agents like Hampton or Alou. Thus, his profits are a good as the other owners.
