I loved when Francis would swing around the rim and point at the player who fed him the rock for the dunk. Those backside alley-oops he'd throw down were unbelievable.
for me it has to be Franchise then Tmac. followed by Drexler and Dream. then stromile? am i the only one that wants him back so he can add to his rockets dunk compilation???
Francis, hands down... Wafer had potential considering he's prolly not gonna be here anymore. Speaking of Francis.... anymore updates on what he's up to? I remember someone said he was working his arse off trying to come back, AGAIN.
No competition!!! Steve Francis is top 20 dunker in history. Maybe I'm not objective, but you gotta love his dunks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VImz2iMQcKY I join wcarranzajr and ask: anybody know what's up with him now!!??
You stole the words right out of my mouth. I loved when he did that and pointed at the guy who threw it. Classic Franchise.
As a Rocket, its no doubt Steve Francis or Hakeem Olajuwon (80's to early 90s). Steve's lack of size made his dunks all the more amazing, while Dream's quickness and power for a center was fun to watch as well...plus their dunking peaks happened as Rockets. Overall, Clyde and Tmac were better because of how easy they made it look. Honorable Mention: Robert Horry (baseline inbound alley hoop from Maxwell...classic) and his tip dunks of any missed shot...only did these things til 95 though unfortunately. Mario Elie on the fast break....just pure power attacking the rim! Otis Thorpe....ENORMOUS HANDS!! could palm a ball like a grapefruit...really easy for him to finish around the basket.
*He wasn't call Cylde "The Glide" for nothing, he put up some amazing dunks. I loved the way he'd put his head down, with nothing keeping him from the basket. It was almost as if he couldn't see because he was starring down at the court, but once he was up he made it look easy. *Hakeem has to be here for the fact that his normally started off with his back to the basket and would spin right around his defender, or over, for some sick dunks, power, almost like a "Dream". Stevie is my man, his hops were amazing. Steve put down the kind of dunks that had the whole arena in a roar. Peoples jaws wide open, with a look on their face like they could believe what just happened. A special shout out to Horry and Landry, and for the one and only "Air Bullard". No one thought Matt couldn't get his feet off the ground, but "Slam" there he was!
I've scanned the pages but not seen Bill Willoughby. Never reached his potential at all, but one of the best pure athletes and dunkers the Rocks ever had. He's so old school, I can't find any video of him. ...
Steve Francis never really did much to help the franchise here record wise but he's got my vote as the best dunker the rockets have had since ive been watching em. His vertical was sick.
Luther Head Had an awesome one against the Laker's Turiaf. But Head is definetly not my favorite dunker on ROX it is Francis or Horry for Sure. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9ZGMolLGsBc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9ZGMolLGsBc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
