    :D

Paraphrasing a Dream quote I read some years back: "The NBA is a lot more controlled and less violent than years ago. Do you remember Billy Paultz? I had to punch him in the nose in a playoff game."

    I've always loved that quote.

Btmanjones how can you put Hayes before Thorpe and Rudy(god bless his soul) before elie and horry when you never saw those dudes play. and Calvin before Clyde, you just cant go on stats. sliding a few old timers in doest make you unique and cool.

Well technically it does make him unique if nobody else is doing it. Whether it's cool or not is not for me to decide. But I'm sure the Cool Patrol will be here shortly.

They're hardly old timers. I'm 35 years old. What makes you think I never saw them play? My father had season tickets when I was a kid. I went all the time. Calvin and Rudy were my favorite Rockets my entire childhood, followed closely by Moses and Robert Reid. And the Hayes Street commercial (which I'm guessing is where Hayes Street got his moniker) is etched in my mind. I wasn't going on stats at all. The thread asked who our "favorite" all-time Rockets were. I answered. And I don't come to the GARM when I want to feel unique and cool but thanks for the laugh.

Sigh. Can we get the "FAVORITE" portion of the thread title in bold. Maybe then the opinion legislators won't be out in full force.

Some people just cannot tell the difference between the meaning of the word 'favourite' and 'best'. Do they know there is a website called www.dictionary.com? :D

Seriously... you put Lucas, Leavell and Floyd ahead of Kenny "the Jet" Smith, are you kidding? Where is Maxwell? Sampson over Barkley?
