No player is untouchable. But there are players that will require the other team sell the farm to get. Those are: Sengun Tari Cam Amen A big return could get: Bari Jalen Everyone else is very much available.
While there are no perfect stats, Sengun's advanced numbers were up there with the best players in the game today (PER, OBPM). At only 21. And who knows how many open shots Green missed after a pass from him. Trade him and we revolt. I wouldn't trade Tari because he's the type of player to change the course of an entire game with hustle. I'd like to see another season of Jabari and Cam, but anyone else...depends on the price. Honestly though I think it's more special to win with players drafted and/or developed....at least the core. Purchased championships seem cheap.
We are quietly into a new trend where teams win with stars that they drafted, like in the olden days… It’s been four years now: ‘21 MIL (Giannis), ‘22 GSW (Curry, Klay, Draymond, no Durant), ‘23 DEN (Jokic/Murray), ‘24 BOS (the two Js)…
I think Jalen is very touchable and hope they put him on the trading block. Jalen + #3 pick would net you a very decent return. I would trade back to around number 9ish and grab a shooter type and sell of Jalen. Start flipping our assets for future assets and keep playing the game until we start stockpiling picks.
Just fyi, this past season the offense did better with Green on the court than Sengun according to Cleaning the Glass.. That March really helped I guess. And with that comment putting down Green, you do know you could just as much say with the same amount of validity if not more how much Green got blitzed and doubled as the pnr ball handler with Alpi as the screener because opposing teams ignore Sengun when he's out in the perimeter.
