Surprisingly, I'm not blaming Rudy T this time. Here's the fault projection: 1. Money - - - the root of all evil. 2. EG's girlfriend - - - wasn't able to fulfill the guy's "desire". 3. The Society didn't give him the care he needed. Anymore to add?
How do you know the Rockets didn't offer help? If drugs is in fact the problem here, how do you know they didn't offer to help him find a counselor or enter a rehab program? It isn't like they'd announce that publicly. There is really no saying what the Rockets have or haven't done with Eddie for sure. But let's be real, it's in their best interest to help Eddie. They've invested quite a bit in him. From a human standpoint (and Rockets management is still human) they'd want to help a young kid and from a business standpoint it is in their best interest to see Eddie get back on track. That's a no brainer. It's entirely possible they offered every bit of help that was within their power and he simply wasn't interested. Some people have to hit absolute rock bottom before they'll seek help.
Eddie Griffin is to blaim, you must stand by your actions. Sorry Eddie but im not gona cut u any slacks like others might ... Your old enoff to know what your doing is wrong, against the law and the morals of socity
seriously...lock the thread...close up the site entirely. the pinnacle has been reached. it simply does not get better than this.
dude, i'm no lawyer, but if you cut his slacks that could get you into some serious trouble. i think you better think about that first.
Eddie Griffin, his decisions his fault. Anyway, allowing people to shirk responsibility for their own actions will never cause that person to help themselves or get help. Why would you get help if the problem is not your fault, its the fault of, take your pick; the system, the NBA, the Rockets, his parents, his girl-friend, his choice of homies. BS!!! It is Eddie Griffin's fault.Don't defer guilt, Eddie needs to hit bottom. The sooner the better so he can find his way back up or ask for some help. People make their own decisions and when you die you will stand accountable for your own actions... alone. Unless Christ is with you. Eddie, I wish you the best of luck in your choice of future friends, because from what I have seen right now you don't have ANY.
True, we don't know what the Rockets did behind the scenes, but whatever they did, did not stop Eddie. We do know Eddie missed a team flight last year, not sure if he skipped practices, and was charged with possession of mar1juana. Eddie also missed workouts this summer. So should it surprise them Eddie beat up his drug buddy? No.
haha my bad man miss-spelled that word but i was just trying to get my point across u dont gota bust my chops
This all boils down to an inmature decision by Eddie and his momma about entering in the NBA draft. Eddie was not ready. He should have stayed in college a few more years and grown out of the college antics.
It's the 'LOVE' of money that is the root of all evil. Money by itself is just - money. -money lover.
This is still defering blame from Eddie to the NBA. Eddie is to blame. If he worked his a$$ off and stayed away from loser friends and drugs he would be a stud PF in the NBA and our Rockets would be contenders. Eddie is not working hard and chooses to hang with a bad crowd. These are facts that have nothing to do with draft ages. There is a much longer list of "older" NBA players that chose the same path that Eddie is on now.
Eddie is to blame for his own actions just like the rest of us. I find it funny that many posters blame his "drug problem". What drug problem?! The kid had a joint in his car and got busted. I don't see that as a drug problem. Saying a pot smoker has a drug problem is like saying that everyone who drinks alcohol has a drug problem. What about the folks who eat Tylenol for headaches or sore muscles. Sleep aides, caffeine, cough syrup, pain releif, synus medicine.... they all drugs. You people act like he's hooked on smack. The fact is that no one knows. Quit blowing his pot bust out of proportion. Maybe you posters are to blame for his meltdown! Seriously, his problems are a result of his own decision making. You can't blame the Rockets organization for his poor off-the-court decsion making.
