i appreciate intelligence on sports subjects, diversity in subject matter, and humor. i can't stand shock value radio. for that reason, Gwynn, Innes and Warner are all on my do not listen listen. everyone else is fair play. as far as best, i feel like the added channels have really helped our market and we have a plethora of good hosts. in no particular order -- pallilo, jackson, adam (can't remember his last name), granato, zerlien, thomas. i liked hensley paired with lord, it reminded me of the old lord/pallilo pairing. lord can actually be good when paired with someone knowledgable. i liked what little i heard of rogers and look forward to hearing more. he's rome when rome was good. sean and john can kill, but tend to wane if not during football season. I'm glad they've been split because i think they have a chance to be much better but need to be pared with someone else to counterbalance their weaknesses. with that, i'm a bit disappointed sean got his own show, but we'll see. he may kill. vera, costa and some of the other weekend/nightime personalities i find to be very strong and just need a chance during drive times
OMG it is hands down the new guy Josh. He does not even talk sports entire shows at times when he was on in the morning and now he brings down the afternoon shows with his perv talk.
What happend to Robert that was with Rich lord? I really do not like anyone on 610. Hotties or Notties? cmon so stupid.. 1560 reception is horrible most of the time, so I can't even listen to them. I always listen to Matt Thomas and Charlie though... Dylan's voice is so annoying too...
I can't STAND Barry Warner. He sounds like John Madden's r****ded brother. I never thought anyone would irritate me more than Rich Lord, but Warner has managed to do the impossible.
1. Rich Lord 2. Dylan Gwinn 2.5 John Lopez 3. Josh Innes 4. Brad Davies I think Monsters of the Midday was the worst sports radio show of all time. All time. Barry Warner gets a pass from me because he is the ONLY media person in Houston who will ask a legitimate question at press conferences. Houston sports media is a joke.
Barry Warner. Old dude doesn't know what the hell he's talking about but acts like since he's been around, everything he says his correct. He's a pretentious old curmudgeon that needs to retire. Second place would be Rich Lord. Everyone else is far behind these two. My two favorite dudes would be Matt Thomas and Adam Wexler.
Dylan Gwinn is the one I would most like to punch in the face. Innes is the worst from the point of being prepared, knowledge, talent
Gwinn is the worst. He is a politics jackhole masquerading around as a sports talk guy. He's like all the worst parts of Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, and Jemele Hill smashed together. The rest rank like this... 5. Barry Warner (senile old coot that knows nothing) 4. Josh Innes (fat loudmouth) 3. Rich Lord (fatter loudmouth) 2. John Lopez (fattest loudmouth... quick weight loss center won't save you forever, Johnny)
Dude needs to be back on the air. I don't care about his stupid TV gig. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gt3OptaZ20Q?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gt3OptaZ20Q?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Dylan is unspeakably horrible. I can't listen to him even for a little bit. Innes has such a tired act. His constant use of analogies to lame 80's movies and songs is grating as hell. It was amusing the first 150 times he did it but now it's just freaking irritating. Shut up already, nobody cares about your grandma's wrestling fanaticism or your affinity for Back to the Future, Teen Wolf, and Air Supply.
