Pippen- This guy was suppose to bring us back to the Championships, like Possum said, he ended up hurting the team more than anything.

How can this not be Maloney? He continued to cost us money years after he left.

i agree. we are still paying for it. not only he got a lot of money, blamed his teammates, lost the playoff series, he also forced us to make a one sided trade with portland and we ended up with their garbage for years. we are still recovering from that trade. he set us back years.

I said it back then and I'll say it again, the rockets should've asked for Jermaine O'Neal in that trade. I know we probably wouldnt have Yao though.

i think they did ask for him, but portland knew we were deperate, and would not give O'neal ( i may be wrong)

They did Portland would not give him up. They knew we had to get rid of Pippen, and we got nothing in return (except not having to pay his fat ass contract)

i think this was the "most to do about nothing." coincidentally, it marked my beginnings here at clutchcity.net. that's when i really started paying attention around here. but that signing of shandon was hailed as this "must have" that summer. it never panned out to be anything close to that. he came and went so fast.

you forgot moochie norris on that list. he's right up there with maloney. he got paid because he had a cute fro and was steve francis best buddy, it had nothing to do with basketball talent.

I don't know how you guys can even mention Ward or Oakley

Oakley got a 10-day contract. Worst signing in history? Uhh..

Ward hasn't done squat in his first year as a Rocket, but it's not like he's making 5 million a year.

Worst signing ever has to be Matt Maloney, hands down.

IMO Berry was an upgrade to their small forward at the time, Buck Jonson.
