Just because he's on the floor as the only post option in a small ball lineup doesn't mean he was playing well. Sure he's gonna get open looks in the low post when the floor is spread that much. But on the other end, he just gives it right back. That small ball lineup is a desparation gimmick lineup designed to hopefully suck some ignorant coach in. But it doesn't really work. Everybody knows it. Of all the starters, Scola is the one guy who is strictly a one-way player. He's a total liability on defense. The rest of the guys play D and O. Scola is the only one-way player in the starting lineup. As much as I have liked him over the year, as much as I admire his heart and his work, in my mind, he is the weakest link, because he is a one-way player.
We need a serious upgrade at 5 in order to keep him and succeed. Otherwise, he needs to be replaced with a serious PF upgrade and we can roll with Camby at the 5. In other words, we're screwed.
Correct. In the words of Gary Kubiak, we're going with what we got. (Or in this case, we're stuck with what we got for now).
That's why why still need Martin back ASAP I guess people jumped the gun on Lee easily replacing Martin
Another Scola hate thread, SMH. Scola is absolutely vital, not just to the starting lineup, but to the entire team. You should have named the thread: "Who has been performing the worst in our last 2 losses", because that's all this is about.
.... Weakest link...... well that is pretty useful The team's whole PER is about 13-17 The talent is about as close as it can get...... No legit allstars or superstar talent... but a lot of good, close to very good players, the best role players that could be solid starters.... No closer, no real guy to bail us out.... Kyle needs 20 games to return to his borderline allstar shape ....and that is a question Solid and good we are..... we know that already
Scola's Argentinian Tango doesn't work if the defender won't dance with him. Gortat just stood there and let Luis twirl around...
Why didn't you simply start a thread saying that, instead of coming up with a stupid poll that you hope will validate your opinion. Why hide behind a poll? With that out of the way, I wonder if Parsons has hit The Wall late. He hasn't seemed like himself the last few games. Perhaps it's more simple than that. Is Chandler in the first stages of decline?
The weakest link differs every night. This team is a bunch of role players taking turns stepping up to win games, or lose games. There is no weakest link and everyone is the weakest link.
Nothing personal against the guy, but Pat Patterson does suck. I feel he should be contributing more at this point now given he gets a good amount of playing time.
Lee has always had this problem as a starter, injured or not. He was the same way in Orlando as a rookie. We really need Martin back, especially when nobody else is scoring, like in the last two games.
Not looking for validation. Not hating on Scola. Love Scola. Wanted to know how everyone felt. Sorry dude.
