Don't quite know if Lin is smarter than Battier (Harvard is clearly harder to get in academically, but Battier may have gone to Duke because he wanted the basketball program; perhaps he would have gotten into Harvard if he had applied). Kobe -- SATs aren't anything but 1080/1600 is low (compared to the average 1450-1500/1600 for Harvard students at the same time). In any case he didn't go to college (for good reasons, so he's not explored his academic possibilities. SHAQ - an MBA means nothing; it all depends where you got it and how well you did. Keep in mind I'm only talking about the poster's intent here (which appeared mostly intellectual learning/probably academic, etc. intelligence). As for street smarts, common sense, people skills, ability to speak multiple languages, media saavy, etc. that's different.
