Without cp3 the championship ceiling is significantly lowered. He was and is the difference

Right... The championship ceiling is lowered without cp3, and we probably don't make the playoffs without Clint.

He was and is the difference. Italics are to indicate the smug tone I am picking up from you.

Rockets don’t make the playoffs without Clint? A back court of jh and cp3 isn’t a playoff team? Wow that’s ridiculous. I love Clint but his impact on the game isn’t close to what jh and cp3 do.

Without cp3 the rockets go back to a early round exit team. If that’s what you are ok with kudos to you

    without a doubt its Morey....

I cant say Morey is more valuable than having the reigning MVP... but beyond that - Morey is the guy that makes anything else happen...

    o/w..
    CP3
    CC
    EGO
    MDA
    PJ
Melo - I think he's gonna have a great year - maybe even move up a couple slots..
    GG
beyond that... have to see what they bring to the table this year...

Not a problem. There’s not much to talk about with someone who thinks a harden cp3 team isn’t making the playoffs

I think James is more critical to our overall record and success... and would surely secure a better overall record if he were the solo star than CP3...
but I think CP3 has a better ability to steal a game or two by utilizing the rest of the team better - before the other team makes adjustments and dials into him...

Harden and cp3 are very similar players. We have zero depth at center. The west is stacked to hell. With no rim finisher and more importantly no rim protector we miss playoffs. BTW wtf is this sh*t about "if that's what you're ok with..." don't put words in my mouth. I really hate when idiots put words in my mouth. I am a bigger Rockets fan than you ever will be.

thats crazy dude... I love Clint... but if you replaced him with a random FA center - Harden/CP3 are still making the playoffs... not the #1 seed... but def in the post season mix...

a team that has Harden and CP3 on the roster is making the playoffs...stop...

Capela is important, but Harden alone can make the playoffs with a bunch of role players and somebody worse than Capela at C

I think we already have a guy in Chriss who can duplicate the basics of Capela's game (set a screen, run to the rim, play some defense) but we have no one who can duplicate what CP3 can do.

In fact, besides LeBron, I don't think there's anyone else in the NBA who can bring the consistency that CP3 does.

For that, I'd have to say CP3 is the 2nd most important player on the Rockets' roster.

That thread really didn’t need a response. Anyone who’s opinion was worth something was well aware of who was #2

You have to post intelligent takes on the internet if you want to draw intelligent conversation.

If you post obvious/obviously bad takes on the internet, you will attract trolls.

    I mean, that’s the truth.

By every observable measure, CP3 was the 2nd best player on the team.

If you have a stat demonstrating otherwise, I’m all ears.
