Only posters that I can think of in that category would be: TheFreak and gettinbranded. They both used to annoy me for different reasons, but now they usually make me laugh(in a good way), even if I don't agree with their posts.

This is off the subject here but HD was indeed an Enron Employee. He was fired earlier this year based on some postings he had made (from enron computers at work) which contained libelous (sp?) statements about Enron and Ken Lay. I know, I know who whodathunkit from such a nice young man. Anyway, the story actually made the NY Times and/or Washington Post. His name is Clayton Vernon and you can find out more info just by doing a google search on his name.
That post is from December of 2000. Remember, I said: (emphasis added) That's where the confusion came from-- I thought he was referring to something I'd written post-September 11th. I meant that I really began making my effort, personally, at that time. Hopefully, nothing I've posted since then rises to that (shudder) level. Prior to that though, I am sure there are all sorts of posts you could dig up that I would cringe to read.

I haven't really been here long enough to have a change opinions too much, but here's my deal. There's only two people on here I dislike for real. Some people I just don't like arguing with, like Timing. But I have nothing against him. It's just frustrating sometimes, although it's getting better. I would say Lil Pun usually disagrees with me, but it's never ugly or insulting. Makes it much easier to have a debate/conversation and it makes me respect him a lot. There's a lot of times I don't like what Jeff says, but since he's helped me out and I met him once, it makes it hard to stay mad. I know most people don't like me, which makes it hard on me. But it's doesn't make me not like the person . I attribute it to me being new and outspoken and I know veteren posters don't like that too much (I've known about most of y'all for a while through Lynus, but I forget that y'all don't know me yet).

I don't think many people, including most of the left of center folks "don't like you". As someone who hasn't agreed with a lot of <i> your posts </i>, I can say that has NOT translated into me not liking you (you may not like me I don't know). If I disagree with what you say I'll let you know, but I don't take it to the level of disliking you as a person. I mostly like debating with others with a different point a view. What I don't like is when people try to get personal in debate style especially when they try to link me with grand assumptions I didn't lay out there or just plain try to incite for their fun of it without actually engaging the debate (troll like behavior). To me the worst sin on the BSS is when someone has put time and thought into a post and in turn someone responds with an idiotic knee jerk post aiming to discredit the former post but has no substance to back it up. Princess I don't remember you ever doing this so you are OK by me. Sure we get hot sometimes, but it is all cool when the day is done. Finally, just some more perspective from me. There are other posters just as right leaning (obviously this is a simplication because people differ on issue by issue) as you but who do not get people going after them like you do. Part of it IMO is because you often don't <i> appear </i> willing to really consider and hear an alternative view to your own, yet it is also clear you are actively pursuing knowledge right now. Everyone should be open to rethinking their positions on things if there is better evidence otherwise-- especially someone with strong formative experiences that you have admitted and who is in the middle of a period where their supposed to really get deeper knowledge about the world and better understand the perspectives of others. I may be full of it about this because after all I only "know" you from a BBS board debates, but that is my 2 cents anyway. I hope you stay around for you and for us.
DesertScar, Like I said, I have very few personal opinions. You're cool by my standards. There's not too many people on here who I don't think are cool at least some of the time. I was joking though to some extent. How can anyone really dislike or like someone they don't really know? I know most of y'all know each other well since you've been here for years, so it's different for those people. What you say makes perfect sense to me. I have been guilty of knee-jerk reactions, but almost everyone has them once in the life! Most of the time, I do listen to the other side. However, I don't always acknowledge that I do or change my mind. I am in the process of learning, but we all are learning in life everyday. My formal education however is far from over yet. One day, I'm sure I'll have a good post. I'm on this board for fun but I have also learned a lot. I'm a pretty uptight person and it translates onto the board. But I'm really fun when I'm not stressing over school work! And I had to add that Mrs. JB and I didn't hit it off well. But I think she's one of the coolest people on here! Lynus is my favorite person of anyone on here though!
I used to HATE ZRB.. last year he was such a TROLL!! Until the Rockets made a good run at the playoffs, then he became more optimistic. It carried over into this season, now he is just sarcastic.. gotta love ZRB!!
I will admit to being a b*stard. anyone whom i have thought of poorly at one point, I still do. I cannot think of one poster that I once had a negative opinion of and now feel the need to blow flowers up their butts. As human beings Im sure most of you are pretty cool. With the exceptopn of being texans, most everything is excusable(i think this is where i am supposed to put one of these ). As far as posters, well there is alot of ignorance that takes generations to breed out, so i am not expecting much from any of you. and now for something completely different www.sheep.com
