    First, 99% of what I post is BBall related so my comments are only relevant in that context.

    Secondly, it is not possible for me to isolate the posters whom I admire down to a single small grouping for fear of missing someone. As a subject material, the NBA in general and the Rockets in particular are multi-faceted...history, coaching, management, current and formers players, insider info & sightings, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Asian & Euro BBall events, X's & O's, trade speculations, Yao interviews in the Chinese media, reports from the Shaw Summer League and Rocky Mt. Reviews, pictures, marketing insights, and much, much more....

    There is a saying that "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". Let me paraphrase that just a little..."Mutual intelligent exchanges are the sincerest form of respect". If I have failed to single you out here, but have respectfully exchanged BBall viewpoints, then be assured you have my respect...even if we disagree. :) (The major exception being admonishing those creating Garnett trade scenarios) ;)

    Lastly, I agree with 90% of the list of so called "Respected" posters and consider it the highest honor to even be postively mentioned in the same thread or post. This is especially true for aelliott and NIKEstrad who were very insiteful and patient as I fumbled my way through learning the mechanics of NBA salaries.

    Closing comment - Someday I hope to say as much with so few words as Will and to have the detached cool of Clutch and Jeff.

    A huge "Thanks" to those who singled me out in their posts.

    Good sweet mother of crap, how did Yetti get so much praise? There's about 2 things he thinks he knows about the Rockets: Francis sucks and Yao is God.

    My votes would got to heypartner, A-Train (one of those guys you love to hate), and... I'm not sure who else.

    As one who has had a couple of back and forths with Yetti, he is very passionate about his position (even though it is wrong ;) ). So I give him props for that.

    Well being passionate about your position should never earn you respect on its own. Haven't you heard that phrase: "Never argue with an idiot - you can never win"? That would basically be saying every idiot has the potential to be a venerable poster on this BBS... :cool:

    RocketGuy3:- First thing you need to wash your mouth out as your vocabulary is ofensive!
    Secondly for such a young member you need to go back and reread some of my posts as your opinion of someone you just dont know or have any idea about, is very limited!
    I have been a dedicated Rockets fan for nearly 22years in Houston. I have watched the majority of their Games during this period and have recorded and made analysis of most of them! Any opinion I have expressed has been sincere and has never required street language or the abusive use of Holy Names.
    Any opinion or suggestions which I have posted have only been made with the hope that the Rockets will improve and play an exciting Game. I dont hate any of the players, but I do prefer the Big Mans Game over Small Ball and hope, like all sincere Rox Fans that the Rox will get on track next season.

    Ok, after almost 4 days, I know a number of our members are anxious to know the latest rankings,so ... here you go (you can find the table at the end of the thred)!

    Just keep in mind, we will determine the winner and the final result in 3 days time, so for some of you that are desperate to move up the rankings (as I have noticed) you would have to do the best you can to either attract new voters or convince someone to change their vote. Again, anybody may change their vote anytime before the final count.

    By the way, as a relatively new member here on the BBS, I must say that I'm not very familiar with a number of nominees (some of them I've never heard of), thus have no clue about their legibility (or "Seniority") for the poll. Do correct me if I misspelled someone's name or let me know any of the nominees that are non-exist or don't quality for the event.

    It is made a little easier by the fact that some of the real good old skool guys havent been that active this year.
