the rockets (10-5) had their four-game winning streak snapped, but finished the first month of the season with their best start since the 1996-97 season...come on guys, many of us knew we would lose this game including me, though rox almost made a miracle(3th quarter booming), but that passed away.
Most over rated Rocket player? Its gotta be Hakeem Olajuwan.....hands down! This guy couldn't block a shot to save his life....
What a bunch of crap. Yao is giving you more than you ever thought he would...the guy is a legit all-star now...he scores 25 and 10 consistently even on "off" nights...but he has a lillte trouble once in awhile with teams that focus on defending him and sh*theads like you want to bash the guy with your 2 cent crap. You are a r****d.
At this point in the season, I'm sorry but I would have to say T Mac is the most overrated....I don't think he's a top 10 player in this league anymore. Maybe not even top 20.
What's up with all these garbage threads lately? We are 10-5. After just one loss and then you started a thread like this one? Pathetic.
No brainer. Juwanamama. http://www.nba.com/statistics/lenovo/lenovo_sort.jsp?pcomb=1&season=22006&split=9&team=Rockets
so would you rather us be 5-10 than 10-5? I don't know how many of the "we have yet to beat a legit good team" people have actually kept up with Rockets history. Back in the 90s, all we did was beat good teams and lose to bad teams. I rather the Rockets take care of the teams that they're supposed to take care of and work on the "legit good teams". "But Phoenix had a hard schedule and they're 8-6 and rolling". So what, in the end, it's about Ws and Ls. Like someone had stated, this isn't college football. There aren't "quality wins" in the NBA. As overrating goes, I'll pick on the rookie Spanoulis. Maybe he's being reined in by JVG or something, but he hasn't played that well offensively and his defense is inconsistent.
No. In the end, it's about getting far in the playoffs. We're not going to get where we want to be if we rarely can beat good teams.
it wouldn't matter how far we get in the playoffs if we don't take care of the bad teams in the NBA--which by my count, is all but 3 teams in the East and and about 5-6 teams in the West (i.e. majority of the league)--because there would be no playoffs. i DO get what you're saying, durvasa, but I think of it this way. We have a team that have: -an underperforming McGrady (he is underperforming no matter how anyone cuts it) -a team working with a rotation that has BOTH of our star players healthy (very different from last year) -3 new players to work into the rotation and we're 10-5. I think ,as the season progresses, everyone will fall into line and they can compete with the best teams in the league.
I think Gundier was being sarcastic. Its a big joke about the overreaction of everyone else. Read other posts / threads by Gundier and you will understand.
just wondering....did spanoulis guard barbosa at all? from the stretch i watch wheere barbosa singlehandedly torches our defense, i dun see spanoulis at all. he is our best defender on quick guards. y not use him van gundy u idiot!
novak is a rookie, you can't expect too much from him, his D really sucks. Yao and rafer are tired, you can expect Yao to run with suns, i mean he just had a great game one night before suns' game. so is rafer, he will be more efficient if his mins is under 35. I believe t-mac should attack the basketball more, be more agressive, like kobe, instead he took tons of jumpers.
Why you guys complain on novak and vspan. They are just rookies. So called "overrated" is normally ability compared to salary, right? based on this, i would have to say, tmac and juwan are currently most overrated in rockets team.
