How can he be overrated on this board? According to everyone here, he is less than pond scum. He is not playing now, so nobody can blame losses on him.
Juwan Howard. We're just not ragging on him enough. Every post should be about how crappy this guy defends and how he jacks rebounds from teammates to boost his own stat. Every single post! Its yao's 3 consecutive shoots followed by flush of 3s and defensive stops that got the rockets back winning 2pts... then when tmac start to break all his shots and gets blocked by marrion it just went downhill.
i think the thread should be called who we overrate. on this bbs every 2nd post is about vspan and novak. We think they are the next LBJ, NO, they are 2nd round picks -> rookies with great potential. give them time to grow. They need to learn the nba game and the system.
i think V-span and novak. People want to see these guys in the game, but Novak especially has no business being in a competitive NBA game right now, vspan = fouls, turnovers
I would say it's JVG, for his genius thought of starting a player who only deserves 5 minutes a game at this point.

I have to say Bonzi Wells. We signed this guy with great expectation and tonight he didn't even travel with the team to Phoenix. Did he really care about this team?
Our team is fine - we made a game out of it. We came off a back - to - back at home and traveled. I want to play them again when we have one day of rest. We can play with these guys when fresh. Our defense did a good job in the 3rd against a volatile offense. If we meet these guys in the playoffs we get one days rest usually between games. I do not know who is over rated...... I am pleased with our talent level now. Hard for me to complain- this is by far the best we have been in years and it is not all old *ss players. Go Rockets!!
Sorry for "feeding the animals,", but is sure seems the mantel for most overrated has been passed from Spanoulis to Novak and now to Bonzi. Basically, whoever doesn't play gets way overrated and hailed as the potential team savior that the team must play to win. Yao: Cant score on Kurt Thomas when he doesnt have the damn ball. Novak: 2-5 3pt is not superman but is better than Rafer/Battier. Is he any worse than Padgett? V-Span: Has Rafer/Head ever shut down the Suns(Nash)?
Well, to be fair to OP, Yao isn't blameless. He missed a couple of FTs, and a point blank layin with his left hand when the score was nearly tied. Most importantly, he got schooled by Kurt Thomas on boards. But Van Gundier is still a drama queen for starting a stupid thead like this each time Van Gundy is outcoached.
