This is quite lame, for Pete's sake people who vote for Yao are not necessarily Asian. Can you just get it?

Jesus Christ, I don't get it, or you don't get it? Where in my post did I say that people vote for Yao must be Chinese? I only said people who vote for Yao, in general, are(reletively) quiet. Some of them are quiet because of the language barrier, some of them are quiet in nature.

For those like to call other stupid, make sure you are indeed smart ones, or at least smarter than those you call stupid.

Your post STRONGLY suggest that people who voted for Yao are Asian (who have language barrier).

I just simply pointed out this is not true. Most people voted for Yao I believe are born in this country who don't have any language problems.

So far, the only person used the word 'stupid' is yourself.

For now, I really have to say there's no leader in this team, although, I wish that Yao can take this responsibility, it'll be the best. But the language and culture issues are the problems. T-Mac and Battier also have the same trouble as Yao, which can not be the leader in locker room, plus, he's new for this team. Yao is the leader on the court now, but I can not find a man who can be the leader in the locker room.

I do not know how you read articles. I was answering the other post who said it was wired that Yao got more than half of vote. I thought by the word "wierd" he was probably talking about the difference between voting result and the message board reaction. I give my opinion for the reason.

I do beleive the difference results from two facts:

    1) Higher percentage of non-native-english-speakers votes for Yao. ie. (NNESP Yao votes)/(total NNESP votes)>(total Yao votes)/(total votes).

    2) Voters with similar (quiet) personality as Yao are more likely vote for Yao.

As you can see, none of the above suggest what you said. In fact, it does not even suggest that the majority of Yao voters are NNESP.

You do not have to take statistics and probability 101 to understand what I mean. Common sense will do it. If you still have no clue, I am sorry. I can not help you further.

As for your last sentence, I am quite sure you are wrong.

I voted for Shane, but mainly in the longrun.

I view Yao and Tracy as the captains/co-captains, because they are our best players on the court. I don't think they lead well, but they do fine overall. I don't know what goes on in the locker room, and away from the arena. But I see what goes on the court.

If you want to "hockey-ize" it, and put some assistants A's on their jersey, I could see it going on Shane and JHo.

Howard, because he is a vet, and has been around the league for a long time. So he knows what is up/

Shane is a freaking Duke basketball player. A decent one too. He's a Dukie, and Dukie's are smart.

I think he should be president of the NBAPA.

T-mac is the leader of this team and his shot problems are definitely not going to hurt this team much longer. Basketball is about timing, repetition and rhythm and he's going to get his game in sync. Check out the players around him and how they still defer to him. He's going to be there and he knows that Yao is the anchor for this team. He makes his teammates better around him as all true leaders do. He doesn't have to scream and rant to make his point...it is made with his hustle and sacrifice (guarding Dirk in playoffs) and working hard to come back from injury.

Everyone here that is dogging him will be singing his praise in a few weeks when his A game kicks in gear. That last shot was clutch and vintage Mac last night...between two defenders kiss off the glass AND one baby!
