The only leader I see in this young team is Kevin McHale, he is the voice behind, and nobody is commanding anything other than him.

The problem with these polls is that other teams' fans aren't only unbiased, they're ignorant. How can they decide who the leader of the team is if they aren't Rockets fans?

The obvious choice for anyone in that kind of situation would be to choose the best player on the poll, which would be Harden.

    Not a good thread.

NBA analysts and commentators who watch every game...I've yet to hear one say Lin over Harden as leading this team. But what do they know?!?
Ok, this was a stupid idea. People will believe what they want to no matter what.
    Close this thread plz.

You do realize fans of other teams dont follow the Rockets, right? They dont watch any of our games and are basically picking Harden cause he's a superstar. Yes, Harden is a huge leader for our team and I am sure he has helped out Lin, Parsons, etc improve their game. But if you watch the games you'll see Lin is our most vocal leader as he's the point guard and floor general and directing guys on the court and off the bench.

My unbiased opinion is that it's both Harden and Lin, especially as of late.
Which is why I didn't vote in that "other" biased thread.

    So many butthurt people.

It's clear to anybody that Harden is the leader of the Rockets team. He's the freshly minted max money cat, the franchise face, the star player. He's got a green light from the east coast to the west coast, and you can see our players actively seeking him out in the closing moments or deferring to him almost at will.

According to Clutch some troll wrote a script that spammed votes for Lin in the last poll. We all know Harden is the alpha of the team. Parsons and Lin seem to be leaders as well in many other ways, as has been mentioned by others.

    This.

Harden is the best player, but that doesn't necessarily = leader.

I made this point in the other thread, but an example is NY, Melo is the best player but the leader of that team is Tyson Chandler.

With the Rockets, Lin is the true leader imo. Even the recent game when Rockets made that big 2nd half comeback Parsons said it was Lin who really spoke up and rallied everyone for the comeback at halftime. He's always speaking to the media and giving everyone props in interviews, often times at his own expense, and is always vocal on the court.

Harden does his thing on the court but I see nothing from him in terms of actual leadership. Avoiding interviews, sulking and getting angry/sitting by himself during huddles, getting into small spats with other players on court like with Delfino the other game, etc.

So, why do we care about the opinion of a bunch of people who don't often watch the Rockets or read about them?

Actually in a recent post game interview, (I forget who said it) Chandler or Harden said that Lin is the leader. Someone should find that video.

Sorry, but I don't believe those results. I have no idea how they could be faked but I just simply do not believe Lin would receive zero votes total.
