    I gotta go with Fedor Emelianenko. Without a doubt one of the best athletes in what he does (MMA), with the most humble and respectful manners you will find.

    Although I don't think any person should be put on such a pedestal, I think he serves as a great role model for how to act in terms of humility, civility, and dedication.

    I love Fitz.

    He is a great guy, very engaging when interviewed. One of my favorite athletes no doubt.

    Nnamdi Asomugha is my guy. Love that dude. He's the best shutdown CB in the league and he also is one of the most intelligent and well-mannered guys out there.

    On top of that he does a lot of charity work to help young African men and women get the same opportunities he did.

    No thanks to Pujols, the chances of him being on the roids is pretty high.

    If you have to pick someone in sports you should pick an old or dead person, someone like Jackie Robinson.

    As for the current generation of sports stars I think Yao is the safest bet, he's not going to do anything embarrassing.

    He seems fairly quiet too, not like Dunta, Fred Smoot, Deangello Hall, and a bunch of other overly hyped corners.

    a) you make an assumption on Pujols for no reason

    b) you should pick a dead person? wtf? why? No reasoning given, just a random statement

    c) your threshold for 'role model' is "he's not going to do anything embarrassing". Spectacular.

    i'll go with FAIL

    Pujols? PUJOLS?!?

    Sorry, but that dude is just one urine test away from being exposed as the Fraud Flavor of the Month. He's more juiced than an executed convict.

    Let's see:

    * Huge upper torso? Check.

    * Started going bald rapidly in his early 20s? Check.

    * Acne? Check.

    * Hits the ball as far as McGwire, Sosa, Bonds, etc.? Check.

    The only thing Pujols doesn't have is a sudden increase in production -- but that's because he was already roided up when he got to the majors.

    Is this all speculation on my part? Sure. But rest assured, someone will be bumping this thread in a year or two after AP tests positive.

    Look at his numbers as of today. They are STILL insane! The guy is talented as hell. There's no way in hell he's taking roids now, especially since how it is now. So if he's clean now, and still putting up the numbers....give the man the credit!
