Vlade introduced flopping to the NBA like birds introduced SARS to Asians. He was the ambassador, master of the art, and deserves the lifetime achievement award for his efforts.

Vlade is the teacher. Manu is his spiritual successor who mastered the art. Utah made it their basketball religion.

Vlade introduced the art of flopping to the NBA and made our league a grand stage for the extraordinary athlete artists of our day (most of whom happen to wear a Utah Jazz uniform).

    Jerry Sloan.

Somebody here posted an article about the history of flopping - how Sloan was one of the first when he played in the 70's, and about how Red Auerbach thought it was disgraceful, and would ruin the game.

first of all, i'll have to pay due to vlade(good) and varajao(horrible)

but i think the jazz team as a whole comes first......

    1. Hornacek (biggest flopper of all time with facial impressions along with the acting)

    2. malone
    3. stockton

in this oder in the old days

new error jazz players are not even close

I have to agree with you about this. For those of us hating on teams with other floppers we have to realize we have two on our team. Now Shane isn't as bad as other floppers, but I could see Scola being like Manu if he was on a team like the Jazz who condone flopping. (Luckily Scola is not as bad as the jazzholes) With all that said I love Scola and think he is the heart of this team and it amazes me how damn good he has gotten in just his 2nd year in the NBA.

Divac is a clear #1.. with Rodman a solid #2, but only after he left the Pistons

    agree.

i actually have much respect for stockton (the only jazz in history). the guy should have been rewarded mvp that year, not the mailman.

you must have started watching basketball pretty recently.

Vlade Divac was the George Washington (he's the first president of the USA) of the Nation of Flopping.

    EASILY #1

Vlade was the godfather. But, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Fisher. He was the flopping mafioso on the Lakers to counter Vlade. He has toned it down a bit as he got older. But in his hey day on the Lakers of the early 2000s he was the king at running into screens and flopping. He cost the Kings one game in the series doing that.

    My List...

    1. Vlade (so good at flopping it makes me embarassed to have RA as our coach)
    2. AK (Vlade v2.0)
    3. Bill Laimbeer (Vlade beta)

    4. Nash (when he had long hair)
    5. Dirk (see #4)
    6. Manu (see #5)
    7. Devin Harris (might be my ex-mavericks blinders on but I do remember him flopping like a fish)
    8. Varejao (this guy pisses me off)
    9. MJ (might offend some but it's true, except he didn't do it because he didnt have talent. he just got the calls)
    10. Reggie Miller (one of the most underrated floppers of all time)
    11. Derek Fisher (he always looks like he's about to flop and his name is appropriate)

    honerable mentions: (anyone from Duke)

I have to say Krylienko!! His flop looks so obvious n i cant believe refs fall for it!! He flops like someone punched him in the face. The flop he did against Battier was just funny!! Atleast other floppers fall on the ground or act like they got pushed, can live with that but Krylienko's flops r just ridiculous. I dont know how coach sloan allows that, its just disgrace to basketball.

Honestly truth be told I think majority of the players from over seas flop the most. Sasha Vujacic, Luis Scola ( sorry guys :D ), Vlade Divac, Manu Ginobli, Anderson Varejao. The list goes on and on. Lately I've been seeing Yao trying to flop and that just pisses me off  7'6 man should not be trying to flop and take charges. Mutombo I understand your pain :D
