I think he's right about Chinese fans to some degree. You can like Yao more than the rest of the Rockets fine. I'm kind of like that with Tmac, although probably not to that high a level (I wouldn't stop being a Rockets fan if Tmac left). But when a question that requires you to know a lot about the past pops up... you can offer your opinion, but you have to recognize that since you have only been a Rockets fan during the Yao era, you can't really say Yao > than whoever because you wern't a fan when "whoever" played. Its not really fair to make that comparison when you don't really know.
Agreed, but I don't know why tinman is making a thread when we all know that some fans don't know who the Dream is.
The idea was supposed to be that he could make a poll with a factual question and people would choose Yao Ming because they are hard core Yao fans. But it really just shows you that like you said, some people wern't around back then. I liked the other guys poll that was linked earlier in the thread.
i dont think yao can be eligible for "the dream" until he plays an actual season in his prime, and he will do that startin next season along w/ tmac.

While I generally enjoy tinman's postings, it is very clear that this is no more than another one of his/her (Siiiike ) attempts to draw attention to himself - he obviously seeks to be a superstar of the clutchfans world - because in reality he is likely a small fish in a big pond. I won't resort to using the term 'insecure'. Oops, just did. Tinman can be entertaining, but take EVERY post he makes with a grain of salt and you won't be disapointed normally. I do want to point out that, in making this thread, Tinman is pushing the boundaries of racism. Just in case that wasn't apparent to everyone.
