Be an ass? really, I've been a rockets fan since the early 80's and I could care less if someone becomes a rockets fan because of Yao. If they don't know the history, it doesn't impact me. However, you sir, are absolutely stuck to the idea that if you don't know the history, you are not a fan. Yet, you only discuss members of the championship teams. What about the years before? What about the years after? What about not being a fool?

This is a complete misrepresentation. tinman shows love to all Rockets, from Calvin to Rudy to Dream to Yao. He also founded the Free Sampson movement.

I don't know if it has anything to do with time periods. I think it is just poking fun at the ones who are absurdly attached to a specific player on the Rockets to the point that they will completely disregard the truth or history of this franchise.
