Well I think the closest "Collier type player"we could get this year is Michael Bradley.Like Collier he is known but I would never of thought we would draft him and he is also a Rudy type of a player.I admit I was dumbfounded last year,I was positive we were getting Moiso, glad that didnt happen!

I just dont see us getting a surprise pick this season due to the 50 players that will be lottery picks [IMG]

But I thought the same thing last year!

The obvious answer is Jason Collins.

Gotta be Popodopoulos; he was in for a workout. Pop Rocket... in homage to Doc Rocket!

I think Langhi was more of a surprise than Collier. Collier was not a surprise pick at all last year. He seemed to fit What Rudy was looking for after the top PFs were gone. The only problem was he wasn't a lottery pick, so they traded down. Langhi, on the other hand, came out of left field for me. I knew nothing about him. Granted, he was a second round pick, but Rudy and co. were surprised that he was still there, so they definitely had their eye on him unbeknownst to anyone here at the .net

It's the Roderick Rhodes syndrome that is scarry!

Nobody has them projected 1 st round.

I remember the last draft chat- some people felt Collier could have been had 2nd rd.

I would rather trade down to the 2nd if we are going for someone that shouldn't be in the 1st rd.

My pick would be someone like Michael Wright in the first rd.- We would all scratch our heads- Rudy would convince us it was a cunning ploy because of his upside and how he fits our system and we would be wondering why we passed on several guys who were projected 20 spots ahead of this guy.

I would have to say 6-10 235 PF Benjamin Eze. A prospect that is projected to go later in the second round so he's a perfect target for Rudy. The Rhodes pick was the best...I don't think many teams even knew he was in the draft that year.

Pinetree beat me to it. I've been saying we would draft Jason Collins for a while, and I still think he is likely candidate.
