I forgot about that one. That was a really good performance. That would kind of fit my transformation thing I was looking for. It's not Pitt in Snatch...and it was still Cruise being Cruise...but it wasn't meant to be a complete transformation. I liked the movie a lot too, so perhaps my perspective is skewed.
Agreed. He played an over-the-top character the way it was supposed to be played. And both are very good actors that have done great with lead roles.
Would you rather have all your toenails ripped out with no anesthetic or have sex with a male tiger? Hey look, I just formulated a question on par with the OP. (Pitt, toenails... I can't stand Cruise. With Pitt, you can sometimes almost kind of forget he's Brad Pitt and I'm not gay.)
