With 6 or 7 decent SF's in the draft and a lot of teams look for 1's and 5's we have a great chance to steal one of the SF.

    nbadraft.net
projects that Houston will take PF Haislip at #15. I can't see Houston taking a PF but who knows?

They even project Butler goin at #10 and Amare S. going at #16.
You would think Butler will go higher.

I say take Amare and if nothing else scare the other teams :)

Amare could very well drop that far. Its more likely he gets picked 12th or 13th though.

Oh and take NBADraft.net's opinions with a grain of salt. They nailed 5 picks last year throughout the entire draft, while I nailed 5 in my mock draft for this site. I just go there for info on foreign players.

Yep. Not to take anything from Jason Williams I think he will be a good NBA player but Gooden will be a superstar in a couple of years.

I'm an upside guy, I like Qyntel's potential factor more than I care about his unprovenness. But I like brains on a player, so I'd rank 'em like this:
    1. Dallas Thomas III
    2. Dunleavy
    3. Woods
    4. Who cares
    5. You're wasting your time with this talent level
    6. Why not just hold an open-gym tryout in your hometown?
    7. The towel boy might be a more sure bet
    8. The towel girl
    9. Her grandma
    10. A ribeye steak at chilis

How about Chris Jeffries? NBAdraft.net says that he a great defender. He won't command the ball that much and will be able to do the small things such as play defense.

The last thing the Rockets need is someone who is a ball hog and can't play D. We need someone in the mold of Doug Christie, Ben Wallace, Robert Horry, Jerome Williams who don't need to score to be effective.

Has anyone here seen Jeffries play?

    Gooden=Jamison

Safe pick, but I don't see superstar potential.

Gooden would really benefit from bulking up. His future is in the post, and he has the smarts. Bulk up, and he'll be 3rd best, IMO.

Williams first, then Ming, then Gooden.
