Franchise is an awesome street player and can drop 50, but to me, streetball is also about embarrassing your opponent as well as getting stats. When you can score and pass at will, and also make your defender look like a fool on a consistant basis, I think thats what entails a streetball game. If you search for articles on what NBA players had to say about Skip, they say he can embarrass anyone at anytime on the court, and i believe it was Stephon Marbury who said it at the time (Sorry, too lazy to find the link to the article). There's a reason Skip is considered a streetball legend not only at Rucker, but all over the nation. Im not hating on franchise, beucase i love to watch him play, but Skip has it all for streetball, both the flair and the game to back up being called legendary. Like hotballa said, watch the mixtapes, and1 volume 1 in particular, and youll see why streetball has gotten so big, and it was because of that mixtape.

Yea, as you can see, ive been following Skip To My Lou for the past 3-4 years and I guess im a fanboy :D . I wanted him here 2 years ago before he signed with toronto.

Wouldn't T-Mac be a better streetball player than those mentioned above.

I understand its more than just about game...you got to have flair, etc. But, assuming for a second it was the streetballers that got paid the big bucks. T-Mac would adjust his game and still be better than the choices in this thread, imo.

Streetball is Harlem Globetrotters squared. It's easy to have mad handles when you have some crappy ass ref not calling jack and there isn't a coach on the other team worth a damn coming up with a way to shut you down. It's apples and oranges to compare the two.

These guys were playground legends and played enough Rucker park ball. Tmac doesnt play streetball. i agree he will destroy any of the mountain dew guys like the Main Event or Spider or AO.

Kenny in the day was a Brooklyn legend. He was a top 10 pick in the NBA.

This is easy. Steve is the man but Rafer Alston aka Skip to my lou is one of the greatest streetball players of all time. NBA Steve is better. Streetball is for sure Alston.

Man some of you guys need to watch some Skip videos. Arguably, in the history of streetball it goes

    1) Goat
    2) Pee-Wee
    3) Skip to my Lou

Both Goat and Pee-Wee had off court problems that prevented them from reaching the NBA while Skip has been able to succeed on the streets and the NBA.

    http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/raptor.com_ball_030128.html

NBA players have been known to refuse runs at Rucker for fear of being embarrassed by some kid from Harlem who no one’s ever heard of.

"He's caught me. I ain't gonna lie. When you're playing against Rafer Alston, you're liable to get embarrassed. You know it's gonna happen,” Stephon Marbury told Slam Magazine.

Whatever dude, the NBA is team sport. Streetball is about showing off. Skip made it cause he can pass the ball and shoot. Most of the street ballers can't shoot or play team ball, look at Loyd Daniels. He was a legendary streetballer, he sucked in the NBA.
Tmac would score 200pts on these dudes.

This is called they don't want to get injured because their body is earning them millions of dollars.

Yeah right, who cares if some scrub scores on you? at the end of the day, the scrub goes back to the projects and you go back to your million dollar estate.

Francis wasn't a streetball player to the best of my knowledge. Perhaps people are referring to his style of play, because I don't recall him being a streetballer. Everybody who is in the NBA played in the streets at some point in their life, that's how they learned the game.

Skip is a legend, best streetball player ever, but in the NBA he's not even top 80. It shows what an amazing league the NBA is. You have the best players not just from the US, but from all over the world.

Skip To My Lou: no doubt.

I think he was on the original And1 Mixtape Tour, on streetball Alston smashes Steve, but in the NBA, Francis has more credentials.
