Manu Ginobli should be a starter - it's a joke that he's even considered a sixth man. Same with Terry - he's been a starter his whole career. These guys are all-stars or near all-stars. They both aren't starting because of the unique circumstances of their team and individual confidence issues outside of them. They sacrafice what should be a starting role because they are unselfish and don't mind giving it to one of their teammates.
Great choice! I forgot about Murph. He almost always came off the bench, didn't he? Hall of Famer, All Star, held the consecutive FT record forever, had one of the all time great midrange games, IMO. Almost 18,000 career points and 4400 freakin' assists. Hell, yeah... an awesome 6th man. The old roommates!
Don't really remember Reid or Murphy much as players, I was a bit young so I can't really vote for them. But to me it doesn't really matter how many minutes you played, closed games or whether your a all-star or not. Why penalize a player for being a all-star? Elie was great and of coarse one of my favorite Rockets for his heart, big shots, defense and "The Kiss of Death", but my vote has to go to Sam Cassell. The guy took us over the top for our Championship teams and put us in a position to win. The guy was a rookie, made big shots, closed games, ran the team and we probably never won it all without him. Thanks to the good Memories Cassell!
