My list has changed over the years, but here are two lesser known current actors that I will actively monitor to see if they have a new movie coming out.

    Chiwetel Ejiofor
    Emily Mortimer

I was impressed by Colin Farrell in "In Bruges".

I'm not brave enough to name a best of all time.

Peter Sellers - So many amazing roles that he captured a character so completely yet with a total original take.

My favorite actors have always been: Ford, Denzel, Pitt, Cruise, Costner and Pierce Brosnan.

Actresses? That's much tougher since there's the whole "Looks vs. Real Talent" element that can cloud your vision.

De Niro is amazing, if I had to say "best of all time" he's up there on my list.

I'm a big fan of Al Pacino as well.

I'll watch anything with Christian Bale or Edward Norton in it. I think both of those guys raise the standard of pretty much anything they are attached to.

Johnny Depp is the best quirky character actor there is.

Everything I've seen Javier Bardem in he's been sensational.

Daniel Day-Lewis is unreal. His dedication is incredible. His body of work isn't very vast, but quality over quantity.

As far as actresses I think Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet are superb. Meryl Streep can play anything. Hillary Swank is also great.

Ditto on Gene Hackman, but Matt Damon? He still has more to prove to me.

Where has Hackman been? Did he retire?
