Honestly i think Ishmael Smith would be our alpha dog. He's our only player not afraid to take a game winning shot.
Who are the Alpha Dogs on the elite playoff teams? Spurs => Duncan and Manu - a combined salary of $30M/yr Lakers => Kobe and Fisher - a combined salary of $28M/yr Mavs => Terry and Kidd - a combined salary of $19M/yr Jazz => DWill and Millsap - a combined salary of $21M/yr Celtics => Pierce and KG - a combined salary of $32M/yr Bulls => Rose and Boozer - a combined salary of $19.5M/yr (Rose on Rookie contract) The only exception is OKC. Durant and Westbrook are both on Rookie scale contracts for the current season. Yao Ming @ $17.6M/year has never been an Alpha Dog. Grady was among the highest paid in the league. He considered himself an AD, but the results are what they are. If your Dogs are Brooks and Battier, your about $10M/year behind the curve.
Sadly, I think Brooks is and that's a problem. It certainly is far from this team's biggest problem but when you have a 5'10", shoot-first PG who loses his composure and his temper on a regular basis you have a leadership problem.
This has always been a problem for the Rockets. Are stars when we had some were not leaders and our leaders don't have the ability to take over the game.
really not sure who is the alpha dog for this current rox team. I would want to say its martin. But AB thought he was the man down the stretch. I really can't stand him dribbling out the clock anymore. Pass the DAMN ball!!!!!
You call a time out, you draw a play for MARTIN! THE GUY THATS BEEN ED HOT ALL NIGHT! instead they give it to aaron whos been "RED HOT" all night. Sometimes I wish this team DOES NOT call a timeout because its FAIL....every...single...time.
It is Aaron Brooks but Rick has him on the bench and has the 2nd unit playing 100% wrong with him.....you don't come set a screen for him... you let him go 4 flat and penetrate and dish... DD
