Just read the article and It said projected starting lineups for tonights games are: G Rafer Alston 0.0 0.0 G Tracy McGrady 0.0 0.0 F Shane Battier 0.0 0.0 F Luis Scola 0.0 0.0 C Yao Ming 0.0 0.0 HORNETS Pos Player PPG RPG G Chris Paul 0.0 0.0 G Morris Peterson 0.0 0.0 F Peja Stojakovic 0.0 0.0 F David West 0.0 0.0 C Tyson Chandler 0.0 0.0
Agreed, but if you bring in 2 guys that are NOT playing better than the incumbent, he's gonna continue to start. Granted his off season antics probably impacted his trade value. Also from what I've heard, those charges are not going to stick. (I'm not sure on the timelines, but was it before/after trading for MJ/signing SF3?) He probably thought he was going to be traded, he's virtually said it, definitely had to have felt it. Just like in poker, the cards have no memory, the new coaches have no memory of Rafer's year last year. He's getting a fresh start regardless. Can he maintain it for us even if he's not traded? That remains to be seen. Perhaps it's him or him & the coaches are building his trade value?
Pretty much on point. Also, it's not the charges aren't going to stick it's the charges didn't stick. They were dropped , everything.
This highlights a lingering thought I've had for awhile. If we can keep the egos in check, then maybe we can field the best line up per the match up each night. If we're winning, that pretty much keeps all egos in check. Is it 700pm yet?
Wow, I missed that! (EDIT) I missed it because a lot of the things I've read (linked from CF) does not indicate they've been dropped. They all reference his off season too.
I know. I was being factious. My whole point in the lingering debate was that Rafer was our starter. I wasn't questioning your post
I know, I just wanted to point it out (I wasn't doing it at your expense) that they were. I haven't seen a mention of the charges being dropped on the site either so I figured I'd go ahead and clear it up. At one point it wasactually a huge debate, lol. People were ready to put him in the electric chair. Funny how people didn't realize their are cameras outside of the vast majority of clubs and you can't go around just making stuff up. Well you can, but it doesn't work in most of these instances. I've noticed that most of these bar, club, strip club, ect....fights end up being instigated by or fabricated by a patron and not the athlete themselves. You will always have your Pacman Jones, Chris Henry's, Stephen Jacksons but for the most part these guys get screwed a lot by the media. You hear the story about what they did (and rightfully so) but you hear nothing when the charges are dropped. Why, because it's no longer media worthy. Pretty sad
I'm going with.... Staters ~ PG - Rafer Alston SG - Tracy McGrady SF - Shane Battier PF - Chuck Hayes C - Yao Ming Reserves ~ PG - Mike james SG - Luther Head SF - Bonzi Wells PF - Louis Scola C - Dikembe Mutumbo
"the 10 players who play in preseason games would get 15 or 16 minutes in each half" - Rick Adelman anyone know which 10 players?
pretty sure the starting line will be the exact same as the one we had last season: Rafer T-Mac Battier Hayes Yao or switch rafer with james
Why do so many people here think that steve francis wil not crack the starting lineup or even the rotation off the bench?
based on reports that francis is the slowest to pick up the offense i really doubt he'll be starting, especially when we've heard nothing about him from adelman but we've heard great things about rafer and james.
He won't be starting I can tell you that. I think he'll get PT to get a fair chance but don't be suprised if he doesn't produce that he's glued to the bench in favor of Luther Head. Adelman doesn't care about names. he cares about who produces in his offense, who listens and who works hard.
Rafer may start tonight, but I promise, he will not start the regular season. He may not even be here. James is your starter at PG. Francis may start at SG. I believe that James and Francis will often play together. You heard it here first!
