Is a speech or is it an interview?? The broadcasting over here stopped after the fireworks which followed after the torching of the olympics torch.
Yao is one of the rockets seasoned veteran's that is such a consummate professional, and is a great guy on & off the court..The Great Wall!!
damn man very impressive opening ceremony. No wonder Yao said missing the olympics would be the biggest lost of his life!
Yao talked about the kid mostly and how brave he was to rescue two of his classmates, and how proud he was about china moving a step forward and progressing, he didn't really talk at all about basketball, and i found it extremely funny that while Yao was talking, a bunch of people from other nations was taking pictures with yao and he didn't even notice, lol!
Here's the speech I found on youtube. It has subtitles with bad English translation but enjoy anyways. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU.
After supporting this team for over 11 years(i'm 22), i've never been more prouder then any player in that time span. yao is a brillant, kind and other superlatives that goes without saying.. yao we are so proud of you.
Guess I should have added the for my sarcastic remark. I finally saw the rest of the interview this morning on the replay. Very nice job by Yao.
i would be prouder if he spoke about dafur...in fact he'd make the world proud and win himself much more fans in the us...
