He'll be pushed out just like he was last year when Scola was made the starter before Yao got hurt. Assuming Landry comes back healthy, he'll be the backup while Chuck gets situational minutes.

I seriously doubt that it will. If Steve can penetrate, dish, shoot and come up with steals on a regular basis, it will be awesome.

this going to be our rotation...
    Yao
    Scola/Landy
    Artest/Battier
    Tmac/Barry
    Alston/Brooks

-scola will have a good amount of time as back up C...that way we can give both battier and artest some good minutes at the forward.
-dorsey might play if shows to be effective early in the season
    -hayes for situational purposes
-francis is a wild card...idk wth will happen with this guy. hopefully he surprises everyone and turns into be a great pg!
-and for harris, i haven't seen enough of him to comment.

Sorry but I really don't see much use for Deke, Novak, and Head. Deke is extremely limited now and can only block shots occasionally. Novak is only good for spot up shooting. Head needs to be a pg but has poor ball handling. Basically, all these guys are way too 1 dimensional. We can get better imo.

 i understand exactly what you're saying, and you're absolutely right, but i just don't see chuck not getting any minutes, he will be in there more than you think.

Both Luis and Landry can get in foul trouble and aren't solid defenders despite their hard work on that end.Hayes will bring additional defense as a backup.

i doubt barry will play close to 20 min.

maybe my perception of how much game he has left in the tank is wrong, but i just see him playing 12 min tops, with artest and battier getting at least 30 min each. hopefully low 30's ... but still.

Good god, I hope you've made your point with all the bold and capitaling. BTW, I can't understand why Rafer and Artest would play so little minutes.

Sorry to bust you guys bubble but Brooks will not play before Steve. If he does that means we have a big problem if he's the backup.

I think we will have a problem if SF is in the lineup. People just want to refuse to accept that he is over the hill and is not a good player anymore.

These guys will not get 10 minutes a game, except when there are injuries:

steve or brooks, barry, head, landry, dorsey, hayes.

Guess I got a little carried away nut none of those figures are hard fast numbers . This is just a basic skeleton on what would allow the players to play all out without the risk of wearing down and getting injured

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if francis is doing anything but sitting on the bench or wearing street clothes, then the rockets have big problems.

Well, actually, aren't Barry & Landry supposed to be in the core rotation? Both might play up to 20 minutes per. 15 is not impossible at all.

Don't you think you are wasting our staff ? Hayes is a good defender with tough defece and brilliant rebounds, his tough defence has saved the rockets more than once.Rembering our 4th game in the series againest jazz in 07.
Further ,Luther is not a rather good roster but he was still be selected to the US selection team.Luther is a roster that has little skill yet has some trade value.Trading him for a pick or a rookie should be a good option. What's more, deke is a vet with plenty of experience, which will be quite important in the playoffs.

So,as a summary,i suggest that morey, man, please trade luther for one 1st rounder or two 2nd rounder, and deal with the landry problem well.Landry is a good roster but doesn't worth the full MLE.I don't think larry Bird will be that generous to offer him a full mle in case of his knee injury.Man,landry willl be an ideal back up for scola.and morey can also trade him for two or three rookies in feb.

    Yao
    Tmac
    Artest
    Battier
    Scola
    Alston
    Landry
    Barry

You will see those players every single night.

    Brooks
    Hayes
    Mutombo

You will see those players regularly depending on match ups.

Francis won't be on the roster. If Luther head plays meaningful minutes then this team is injury depleted and will be headed for another first round exit. I think Dorsey will go the NBDL or rides the pine if Chuck is traded or Deke retires.
