I really hope you don't truly believe that I am paid to lie. If asked to lie, I will not. There are good and bad in all walks of life...admittedly, there is more of the temptation for deception in areas where you can profit from it.
The worst liars have to be real estate agents (at least in NYC). I hate them with a passion. They all must die.
Mechanics are scum, but they have a right to be, in their minds. BTW, never goto Just Brakes to get your brakes fixed.
Just a guess here, but: Oh baby, I've never had it that good... It's so big... Best you'll ever get.... Sure I'm clean...
If lawyers are anything like the ones in the new movie "Changing Lanes" then I can see why people would vote for them as the most dishonest! Ugh!!!
I don't think that all or most lawyers are bad. Mostly, they give evidence about why their client is not wrong, but that does not mean giving false information necessarily. Also, lies about their client probably come from the client and not the lawyer. I do think that almost all politicians lie, but I also think that the public is very well aware of it. So if they're really not fooling anyone, are they still dishonest? Also, sometimes unforeseen circumstances force politicians to back off their promises. For instance, one could propose to spend X dollars on an issue, but when one gets into office, the budget might not be calculated correctly, or the economy could go way up or down and that would affect the plan. So some lies are really not their faults. I think lawyers and politicians are probably good at manipulating things, but to me, that is not dishonesty. Perhaps it's just another way to look at things. I'm going with car salesmen. I have dealt with very honest people in the other professions for the most part. , but not in this one. I also think many accountants are dishonest. My mom, an accountant, was not allowed to do taxes for one company she worked for because she was too honest! But she still lies about little things on expense reports and such, which means she's not perfect, so there has to be some out there worse than she is (Arthur Andersen). Businesses in general (Enron) I think are somewhat corrupt and dishonest, but that's a big group.
