The only thing I can confidently predict is that 8 teams will make the playoffs in the West. Too many factors to consider before the season even starts. Our chances are better, but its waaay too early to assume we are a lock.
i dont see how anybody can say the sonics improved. they lost 2 potential all star players and replaced them with two rookies....thats improving? that is the sign of rebuilding to me. dont see how a team rebuilding making the playoffs western or eastern conference.
lakers were in the playoffs last year... phx will have a better record than spurs rockets will make playoffs but record depends on injuries. but have solid bench to fill in for injured starters. elite: spurs, phx, dallas, hou 2nd tier: den, utah, NOK, GSW 3rd tier: LAL, LAC, MEM, POR crap: SAC, SEA, T'wolves... and the eastern conference
honestly, i think this is dumber than a college top 25 in the middle of april. I will wait til Late august or october.
what the hell... 1. Suns - 60 (but usual second round fadeout) 2. Rockets - 58 3. Mavericks - 58 4. Spurs - 55 5. Nuggets - 52 6. Jazz - 49 7. Warriors - 44 8. Clippers - 41 Southwest division is going to be a great race this year. Any of the Texas teams could come out on top.
i may have to switch these two considering jrich is gone and por picked up oden and has a 2nd year brandon roy.
thats when things are more stabalized. There might be some freak injury from here til the start of the season, sudden retirement, suspensions.
Whatever happens, I sure hope we get more national TV coverage. I love watching them on TNT and ESPN!!
i dont understand how you guys can say we're gonna get 60+ wins...... i think 55-57 is a more reasonable number coming from a rockets fan with everything considered.
I don't really see NO as being a playoff team. I think the Clips and GS are still better teams than NO.
Yeah, I hope the Rockets get some more ABC games. We got quite a few ESPN and TNT games, but more people (I am betting) watch ABC.
I hope you are right, but the Lakers weren't supposed to make the post season since Shaq left, but instead they made it twice. I think if Kobe stays, it's all up in the air because that would mean that they're getting someone decent to keep Kobe happy in LA.
Yea very likely barring injury. Likely only ones to make it also are: Warriors and New Orleans. I think Lakers have way too many issues and Clippers are a bit too old. Those 4 teams will be in the running but Warriors and New Orleans are young teams with alot more to offer. I think also Blazers could possibly make a strong run at that spot also, but likely Warriors and New Orleans with enough youth and vets to be able to get into playoffs.
What traitor! What is this guy thinking? http://my.nba.com/thread.jspa?threadID=400013001&messageID=300200469
