Dwight Howard's first season with the Rockets is underrated. He was very good, arguably our best player.

I think I'd still go with Chris Paul in his first season with us. That team was a juggernaut in the regular season and nearly took down one of the greatest teams ever.

Dwight Howard tried really hard to win us the Portland series while Harden and Lin tried really hard to lose it.

Ehhhhhh......2017-2018 has him beat. I just looked at the numbers and Cp3 pretty much beat him across in the board here, as far as advanced metrics are concerned. I think he was also like top 5 in RPM that year as well. Playoff numbers are also similar.

Agreed cp3 was awesome and the 17-18 team was great, but people forget that dwight howard was regarded as a top 5 - top 10 player when the rockets signed him.

I'd probably pick cp3 too if not for the fact that he was limited by injuries and age. Both of which caused him to miss significant time in the regular season as well as the playoffs. He certainly would've been an all star and all nba selection otherwise.
