I am disappointed we did not get Webber because he puts up the numbers on a yearly basis we are hoping Yao can someday come close too. With Webber we would not need the Yao project because it would have already been fulfilled and then some by Webber. I know you all do not like Cato, but he would have been the perfect 5 next to C-Webb. For that matter without C-Webb, How long do you think it will take Yao to take Cato's job? I doubt this year or next barring an injury.

Sure, Webber puts up the numbers, but look what he does to get them. I'm constantly amazed at how often he ignores his post up abilities and stands around the perimeter, only to end up missing an 18-footer. And when someone actually D's up on him, many times he'll take a bad shot instead of making the pass.

I've seen Webber play the Rockets in person 2 or 3 times, and each time he's only posted up 2 or 3 times at the most, scoring each time he does. Then for some inexplicable reason, he abandons the post and misses a bunch of jumpers. IMO, this behavior let the Rockets win those games.

I'm not saying that Mo or KT or Eddie are better than CWeb, but just that for his salary, he's too soft, and the Rockets are better off without him. It also doesn't help that he went to Michigan, a school I despise....and blew that Final Four game to boot.

im glad we didnt get chris webber last year. yeah he would be helpful if we could have signed him now, but hes damn near 30 years old. he would be useless because of age five years later and would be another retired player in a rockets uniform. so ikm glad we have yao instead.

Yeah...purgery in front of a grand jury is a felony...Possession of mar1juana is only a misdemeanor, so we got the better of the two players. :D

Who is glad we didn't sign him? The U.S. Attorneys in Michigan. Texas doesn't have an extradition treaty with the U.S..

Maybe Ed Martin paid him to go back to the Kings.

I'm very glad we did not sign him. Our team needs to play together and develop chemistry. If we had gotten Webber, we probably would not have gotten Ming and we would have a cloud hanging over the coming season. We don't need that!
