Its like asking if you'd prefer to watch jello set up or if you'd rather bungee jump off a hot air balloon into the ice cold waters of lake Minnetonka.
One thing I want to add to this thread--I really don't see Cam as a shooting guard. I see him as a wing who leans more toward small forward. He is not a guy you have bring the ball up and initiate the offense in the half-court, he is a play finisher on offense. He's also legit 6'7" and big enough to even defend up to the 4, probably not quick enough laterally to stay with faster guards. I would definitely be thinking "small forward" when making comps, or just for his future role. I see him more as Dillon's successor than anything else. I think people in the GARM are kind of trying to force a square peg into a round hole by talking about him constantly as though he's a shooting guard, because Jalen has obviously been the weakest starter up to this point in the season. That's not to say I think Jalen is necessarily the ultimate starting shooting guard for us, he's largely been terrible except for a handful of good games (including the last few). Just that I don't think it's Cam's best role.
Depends on the offense and he made not need to I just dont want to Label the kid as a "non passer" and compare him to Eric Gordon like some people are already. Its a little silly.
I mean Eric Gordon came into the league with better ball skills than Cam. Cam is a more impressive athlete though.
At least I'm not the only one who sees it, though he's a better shooter than Smith (and a worse defender) I think. Definitely a similar athlete and frame though to my eyes.
Right, I was thinking build and skill set. But Josh has 2 inches on Cam. Also Josh didn't have the highest IQ. And defensively he was a big box score empty calories weak side shot blocker IIRC. We'll see.
J-Smoove was a good playmaker. He averaged almost 4 apg at his peak from the PF position. Remember the alley-oops he fed Dwight in that miracle Game 6 come back against the Clippers?
