I love Jokic but I believe he struggles against the pantheon of great big men like Dream, Shaq, Wilt, and Kareem. I think David Robinson and Timmy D would give him problems too. Last two times Embiid and Jokic played Embiid has averaged 40.5 ppg and 13.5 rpg. I wish they played more often.
Hakeem would shut Jokic down. Jokic wouldn't be able to guard Hakeem. That's all there is to it. Hakeem would run circles around Jokic and was dominant on both ends of the floor. Anyone who thinks Jokic is better must not be old enough to have seen Olajuwon play.
Hakeem would drop 50/20/10/10 playing against Gobert, Bam and Jokic. Forgot Embiid, the guy who desperately wants to be discount Hakeem.
Is Jokic even better than Moses Malone? Let alone Dream. People tend to forget Moses is a 3 time MVP and led a team to a ring aswell
Same could be said about Harden, people cemented that Harden is automatically above Moses but it is not that clear mainly because I think Moses had much more stamina and was a better leader. (thus better player)
I can see now ....Is Nikola loving basketball? He wins a championship on semi interest alone .....the Taco Bell commercial fat boy.
It's hard for me to say that any great big man from today's era is better than any great big man from any other era. Yes, I'm one of those annoying guys who thinks today's players are soft and rely too much on 3-pointers. That's why, to me, comparing players from different eras based on stats is almost meaningless. To me, it's based solely on how would they fare playing against each other during their primes. Dream had the best footwork in the history of the game. Everyone knows that. Does anyone really think Jokic would even stand a fighters chance trying to guard 95 playoff Hakeem? Come on. The only advantage Jokic would have would be his ability to draw Hakeem out of the paint and try to neutralize his interior defense/shot blocking. Seems like every time a C/PF leads a team to a championship, people start saying he's better than Hakeem. Shaq, Duncan, Dirk, Jokic....all great players. But let's be real - none of them could touch Dream in his prime.
