That wasn't a block at all, it was a borderline flagrant foul with a poke to the eye first.

And it seems like you're the one that's dumb and r****ded, yet you still don't score with the ladies. Not suprised there! Haha.

Well I watched that game, and Memphis couldn't double team Dwight Howard cause Turkoglu, Jameer Nelson, Rashard Lewis, Keith Bogans, and many others, can all shoot consistent jumpers. Besides, Dwight Howard was treated fairly by the referees. Which means grabbing, tangling, scratching, pulling, is rightfully called a foul.

Yao is better than Dwight Howard of course because Dwight Howard always had a so-so/mediocre game against Yao. Previously when they matched up, Yao schooled and scores easily over Dwight Howard.

Also, Yao Ming is being defended illegally, double-teamed/fronted, and still able to put up 20+ points, 10+ boards, 3+ assists, 3+ blocks on a nightly basis. When Yao is defended illegally, refs ignores it! Look at tonight's game for example, Ericka Dampier kept tangling, grabbing, scratching, pulling on Yao the whole night and was called for a foul in the 3rd quarter. The commentators said: "Wow, finally they call that a foul and Dampier just protest to the ref he was doing that all night and no call." Pretty despicable of these corrupt NBA refs.

Refs needs to start calling those cheap shots on defenders trying to guard Yao. Since when is pulling, tangling, pulling, scratching became legal in the NBA???

ROFL, the dumb and r****ded who call other people dumb and r****ded. It's just like the freaking nerds who hide in their basement to 'type' that other people are weak. Spreading hate by typing...that's the best a freaking nerd like you can do, huh? You are one sorry human being.

I have only seen Dwight play in 2-3 games this year and he has improved much since he first entered the league. He's gotten stronger and he's quick and for a big man. I think he's going to be the dominant center in the East for a long time. That being said, he still needs to develop more moves in the low post and shoot free throws better on a consistnet basis. Once he does that, he could be as good as, or better than Shaq was in his prime.

As for Yao, he's reaching his peak. He still gets flustered by double teams and little guys pushing him around. Maybe not as much as before, but it still happens frequently. The problem with Yao is that he still acts too nice on the court. He needs to be dominating and dunking on everybody because physically nobody can stop him.

I don't see it that way. I don't think Yao's weakness is his mentality, it's his body. He's tall and he has a strong base. Great, but that isn't enough to be "dominating and dunking". His inability to jump or quickly change directions is tied directly to his physical nature, and that's his major weakness.

I'm not saying this to hate on Yao. Quite the opposite. We shouldn't be looking to fault him for things that are beyond his control. Mentally, he has the right attitude, the right work ethic, and the right desire to be one of the greats. He's maximizing the tools he has at his disposal, which is all you can ask of anyone.

We understand that, but I think he was talking about on the court he needs to stop being nice. Don't be afraid to hurt someone. Like swinging elbows on a rebound so dudes like Josh Howard and Devin Harris don't just come flying in wildly looking for a strip. No one ever flies into Mutombo.

Is your middle name homer? Because that is one of the biggest homer posts i have ever read..
Do you honestly think that Yao is the only one that is pulled, tangled, scratched in the nba?..
god damn son get over your love for yao and acknowledge that is what the NBA has become.
Every single big man is succeptible to this type of defense. And it dispicable that you're pointing out Yao is better than Howard because these things only happen to him and not Dwight.. hahaha
i laugh at that response honestly.. Pretty pathetic

The thing is - Ming isn't athletic to do anything about it. All he can seem to do is b*tch about his team after every loss - not really a leader. Well... We all knew that he wasn't anyway.
It's pretty funny how you guys hack on Kobe, Duncan, and the rest who whine after every call.. But now since Yao does it - it's ok - because he deserves the respect so he should be able to complain?
hahahahahahhaah you 12 year old homers are hopeless and you're the soul reason why this fan forum has become a joke in many aspects

BayAreaG also thinks nate robinsons block on yao last year was a flagrant foul and that yi jianlians missed dunk attempt on d. howard was a facial. BayAreaG, seriously why are you so angry, you seem to mention corrupt racist nba refs in every post about yao or yi. You really need to get laid or something. And you are an embarrasment to Asians, I really hope you are just a troll and not someone who legitimately has those beliefs.

Looks like my comment got under the skin of a few homer posters here. Seems like some of you no-life homers spent 24/7 on the internet. LOL! :)

Well lookie here! The 2nd best center in the NBA, Ericka Dampier, kept Dwight Howard in check tonight. At least Yao didn't let Ericka Dampier scored 8 points. Hahahaha!!!

Dwight Howard can't even contain Ericka Dampier. LOL!!!!!! HAHAHA!!! :D

I don't know if Dampier contained him more than the Magic didn't look for him. I watched that game, and Howard had a field day in the first quarter. After that, he could barely get his hands on the ball (despite having solid position) and the Magic resorted to throwing up jumpers. JMHO, of course.

I was at the game last night. Howard wasn't contained by Dampier. He was doubled teamed more often in the 2nd half.
