I swear man during the Warriors Finals Morey had something to say every game. Hey pal Woj, make me look like a badass and say im aggressively looking to trade, even Harden but thats limited. Now that the finals are over the media is now looking at him and giving him the full attention he seeked.
Media conspiracy Trying to give the appearance of utter chaos within the organization inside and out. Their baby darlings (GSW’s) will be down and would rather others (Lakers) surpass us by way of free agency (FA’s not coming our way).
Media misdirection to take spotlight off the shait job propaganda of pushing Giannis over Harden for MVP. Notice how no one is retracting that BS storyline in favor of "chaos" created by Paul hating on Harden.
This is the first time Chris Paul's name came out. I wonder if other guys mixed this with the rumors about James and Chris having some arguments and created the "Rockets trying to trade CP3" thing... Anybody knows/remember if Stein said something about the Rockets offering Chris Paul in trade talks?
I've been telling you guys, it's a combination of agents and media people who want certain players in certain locations and Houston is a big threat to their plans from happening that is why there are firing on a cylinders to create uncertainty about the Rockets. We are just couple of pieces away. I see it as Klutch going hard to get the Lakers all the best available FA's because LeBron's window to make it work is closing plus they need to show that he & AD will deliver a championship asap so it can help with the release of Space Jam 2. They want to maximize LeBron and the Lakers and that means having to do their most to eliminate the competition whatever it takes. When have the Rockets ever been this talked about on national media right after the NBA Finals? Notice how all the Rockets-CP3-Harden talk escalated right after the AD trade? It's funny how right after DM goes on a media blitz to put out the fire, the Yahoo article comes out? It's methodical and its targeting the Rockets. Why go to the Lakers and get less money when you can go to the Rockets and end up having more money with better (or the same depending if hate or like the Rockets) odds to win the LOB in a season with both KD & Klay out? This is happening because we're still the biggest threat out in the West with what happened to GSW. If any other team was it, they'd be the target. Plus, we're a pretty easy target tbh. We got a brash new owner who likes to talk, our superstar plays a very divisive brand of basketball, our GM has frustrated the critics and other teams because he does things they don't really understand (it's because he does it smartly, it makes others look bad), same thing with our Coach, who has made not fond exits in two of the biggest media market cities with two of the most popular franchises (LAL, NYK). It also doesn't help when we aren't as media-friendly or savvy as other teams and that we caan't punch back. The way I see it is everyone got frustrated with losing Game 6 that they all went to vent on their own ways, so it really made it easier for "the Enemy" to pounce on that. We just need better leadership and communication on all sides. It would be a shame if we let this off-season talk derail what we got.
Noted LeBron supporter Shannon Sharpe. Pouring more gas to the fire just to cause more strife. Incredible job. Notice how he goes on the "CP3 can't get along with anybody" line? Why keep with that line? It's to dissuade other FAs from playing with the Rockets. He says "I don't see how this works", "how do you make this work?" Man, I didn't know Shannon worked in espionage before, great job at sowing disorder where there is none. These dudes blasting speculation in the second biggest media market. I wonder whose jobs benefit when the Lakers get attention? Why not talk about the fact that the Lakers can't add a third Max contract? Why all the focus on the biggest threat in the West? Funny how everyone's so focused on the Rockets yet why can't they talk about the Lakers and AD? Because the Lakers situation is messed up for FAs and that doesn't help anyone tied to LA, Lakers and Klutch.
Don’t know if and where a conspiracy lies, but Houston and L.A. are two of the most desperate teams hoping for a star passing up on more money by staying with their current team. It’s in the media’s best interest for Lakers (LA) to be more of a contender than the Rockets, and throwing out these wild reports to sewer our team and make the player want to go to the other option. OR in all honesty, maybe the writers of these dumb articles are just die hard fans like us, but of other teams and not ours, so they just do it because they can, because they got an occupation with that platform. We post stuff that are absolutely ridiculous about other teams, we just don’t work for yahoo or whomever. There are more Lakers fans nation wide than there are Rockets fans, so naturally there are more Chris Broussards and Max Kellermans than there are Nick Wrights
This was all broken by balcoholic in his pay per view blog. It is called bigbumfakeaccount and is really interesting reading.... you should all pay up for fakeinsiderinfo
i never understood why the league is so against houston man. for real. i just dont get it. its literally us against the world. f*ckin a cotton.
It’s confirmation bias to the fullest extent. When we first traded for Chris, everyone said it wouldn’t work but then it did. Everybody had to shut up at that point but they could hang their hats on the contract Chris was given (which made no sense to pass up on given the circumstances). Then the Rockets’ season doesn’t go as planned. Chris goes down so more critique of the contract and then James goes on an absolute tear and really ratchets the isolation thing up to another level. Then the media wants to criticize that too and create a wedge between Chris and James. After that, things kinda settle and we’re looking good going into the playoffs. Then we lose to Golden State and everything just hits at one time as far as all the criticism over the past two seasons. Now, James and Chris don’t like each other, etc. The national media does not like Houston sports teams and it’s evident there is a bias against the Rockets despite all the critiques having genuine reasons behind them. And a lot of this stuff is just bad luck. Like who would’ve thought Chris was gonna look that bad during the season? He looked good all last season. It’s just an culmination of Rockets dislike and the media wanting to be right. And once players get a certain narrative attached, they latch on to that. Just like when Harden caught all that flack for Game 5 but the bigger issue was our defense, not our offense (offensive rating was like 102+ I think). Everyone thinks he’s a choker so they swore it was him disappearing when that isn’t what happened. It’s sad at this point to me.
Newspapers (et al) require interesting stories in order to sell advertising and make a profit. Stories require drama and tension, created by conflict between a protagonist and an antagonist. The centers for publishing are the larger population centers, New York and LA so they get to be the protagonist of the NBA, someone else has to be the antagonist. Houston is the outsider population, we play an unconventional type of game and we always threaten to win but never do (well 25 years) We are the perfect antagonist, like a super hero movie villain.
